“The Ultimate Relaxing Babymoon”
Reviewed 24 January 2011

My wife and I took a quick 2 day "babymoon" to the Lookout Point following Thanksgiving. With an 18 month old toddler and another child due in the spring we realized this was probably our last opportunity to get away for quite a while. We left our toddler with his grandparents and made the 5 hour drive to Hot Springs, Arkansas from the DFW area. We stayed in the room known as the Romance room which was fantastic. The room has a fireplace, a huge hot tub, and a million dollar view from our pivate corner balcony. The Inn arranged for a wonderful couples massage for us and it was fantastic. There were daily appetizers served with wine during the late afternoon where we got to meet other guests. Our favorite activity was actually sinmply drinking coffee on our private balcony in the mornings. The temperature was brisk but our terry cloth robes (provided by the inn) were more that enough to keep us warm. We did venture into town for a quick tour of historic downtown and the bathhouses which was certainly worth the trip. This was a B&B so I have to comment on the breakfast...it was fantastic! The food was great (and plenty of it) but the best part was that even though it is a B&B we had a private table so we weren't forced to be too interactive with other guests. Not that we don't enjoy the company of others, but being a romantic trip, the privacy was appreciated. This was our first B&B experience and I would recommend Lookout Point Lakeside Inn to anyone looking for a romantic getaway.

This was our first stay here and my husband and I were celebrating our delayed 20th wedding anniversary in December. We were so impressed with everything even though it was in the dead of winter. The Inn was decorated so festively and Ray and Kristie emulated the most gracious hosts of hosts imaginable. The hearty gourmet breakfasts were delicious and the entire facility was spotless. They seem to think one step ahead of you in satisfying all of your needs. We will definitely return.

This was our 3rd visit and we've loved it more each time! This is not a stuffy, old B&B. It's craftsman style is clean, bright, and beautiful. The rooms are clean, spacious, and luxuriously comfy. We have tried 3 rooms and plan on trying them all. This one, Velvet Ridge, was great! We enjoyed reading and watching the x-large tv in the sitting area by the fireplace. The balcony overlooking the bird filled garden and lake was one of our favorite spots too. We saw ducks and a bald eagle! Breakfast was delicious and filling! You get to sit at private tables not the uncomfortable "community" tables. The owners greet you by name and treat you like a cherished family member. Restaurants and attractions are close by althougth you wouldn't know it by the peace and quiet at the inn. Lookout Point is one of our favorite treats for each other. If you are close or passing through Hot Springs, AR, don't miss this gem!!!

I have been to Hot Springs a few times and every time I've stayed at BB. This has been by far the best one I've been to. The place was very clean and comfortable. The owners were very pleasant!! We were there in the winter the garden was still beautiful, I can't wait to see it in the spring or summer time.

This was our second trip to the Inn and we planned this trip as a group event for our Sunday School Class. We ended up with 6 couples total at the Inn for the Weekend. Having been to the Inn before we had very high hopes our entire group would be pleased with both the weekend in Hot Springs and the stay at the Inn. We were not disappointed. Ray and Kristie run an excellent establishment with excellent accommodations and OUTSTANDING breakfast. Every room was clean with good heating and air (we were in the "in between" season, so we used both), very quiet and yet gave our small group a very "at home feel" for our entire stay. We all felt very pampered with the great breakfasts and great rooms. In short, our group is planning a return trip next year to the Inn for the same weekend.

My husband and I stayed at Lookout Point as a relaxing get away for his birthday. We stayed in the Mountain View room and could have been completely happy just staying in our room for the whole trip! We timed our trip to be there for the fall foliage and really enjoyed sitting on our balcony looking out over the gardens and lake surrounded by the changing trees.

Rooms are very private. We hardly ever saw other people while we were there. That's probably because we slept so well that we only made it for the end of breakfast each day! Next time we go there, I'd like to try one of the other rooms that has a jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Oh, and the breakfast... incredible! They even made special arrangements to accommodate my vegetarian diet.

Staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. They helped us by providing maps and tips for where to go and what to see while in town.

I will definitely go here again and am recommending it to anyone I know traveling in the area. A perfect place for a quiet, relaxing retreat.

My husband and I escaped to hot springs this thanksgiving to do something out of the ordinary for us. We truly enjoyed our experience! The inn keepers really make an effort to make their service personalized. From, greeting us by name when anyone passed us by, the greeting letter in the room, they even memorized my dog's name. Lulu was greeted with a doggy magazine and a home made dog treat. We felt so pampered and special our entire stay. It was just one night but it felt like more! It's so peaceful and romantic! The breakfast was fabulously gourmet as well. We will def be back and I plan to bring my mom as well for a mother daughter weekend in the future.
