I enjoyed this immensely even though I'm not a green thumb. You can't go wrong. I would like to come back in every season, including the holiday lights. The glass and steel chapel is gorgeous as well.

“A garden treasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

I have visited all the major public gardens of the South, but I would consider Garvan Woodland Gardens the very best. It is designed for dramatic views and spectacular natural backdrops but also personal exploration, with incredible attention to detail all along the way. Everything looked fresh and well attended. The staff, from the gift shop personnel and grounds keepers to those who ran the railroad gardens and the café, were highly professional and engaging. I would give special recognition to the folks in the café, who went out of their way to make us welcome, even providing a bowl of water for our dog. If you have a chance, don't miss out on the cobb salad wrap--outstanding. We will return often to Garvan Gardens often in the future.

Beautiful gardens set on edge of Lake. The chapel alone was worth the visit. The topiary exhibit was incredible!

I would go back again. Especially in the spring.we took the guided ride due to the size. Either way would be nice. The diver was very informative.
