We were traveling through Arkansas on a roadtrip around Thanksgiving and we came across this great motel. Its north of the center of town (though not far by any imagination) but I actually like the neighboorhood more than staying in the middle of downtown. From the street it doesn't look like much, but its the hosts that make it excellent. Once you get past the Scottish accent, which can be hard to understand on the phone with the crappy cell phones we have nowadays, you realize these are really great people who are putting their soul into this place. And it shows -- just walk up and down the street to see motels where the owners don't care! The rooms we had was a touch cramped, but inside its nicely decorated and everything is very clean and for the price it was awesome! Especially when you factor in the free access to Quapaw Hot Springs. The tickets that they gave us were single use, but they gave us a second round after we used up the first ones.
While you're at it, check out the Bohemia Restaurant, that place was freaking excellent.More
