“Amazing Babymoon”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

Well, the reviews are in and....they are exactly like the others - amazing! We were planning a last getaway babymoon to Hot Springs and found Wildwood here on Trip Advisor. Because of the reviews, we booked 2 nights. There is not a lot more I can add, other than just confirming what everyone else has said. Rebecca and David are outstanding, the house is amazing, and Rebecca's tour of the house is a must. We will definitely be back to Hot Springs and will not stay anywhere but 1884 Wildwood B&B!

Found this one in Trip Advisor. Excellent stay for one night on our way through. The house is full of antiques and one of the best decorated we have stayed in. Got a short tour of the house and history upon arrival. Super friendly owner. Great location in quite area but close to the town. We stayed in the Rose room and it was deluxe with outside balcony. Everything was perfect with no complaints at all. Snacks in the kitchen, drinks too. The room was waiting for us with music, rose pedals, candles, cold air, and fake fireplace going. You will love this place!

Thank you, David & Rebecca, for another wonderful visit to your bed & breakfast! My mother had never stayed in one before and was greatly impressed! You took great care to accommodate us with our food & fragrance allergies, which is much appreciated! The Rose Room was comfy, beautiful, & welcoming. The breakfast was delicious & beautifully presented! Rebecca, you made the history of the house come alive with your interesting tour & were so sweet & patient to take your time with us & answer all our questions. My mom said that talking to you was like visiting an old friend. The house is so beautiful that my daughter gave shouts of joy & did little "happy dances" around the room after we checked in. She also enjoyed watching a movie in the ladies' parlor while eating the snacks & drinks you provide for the guests. The experience could not have been more enjoyable! Thanks again. We will be back the next time we are able!

Spent two wonderful days/nights at 1884 Wildwood B&B in Hot Springs, AR. Rebecca had everything ready and I was able to surprise my wife with activities and a perfectly romantic getaway. The history of this house goes back to a civil war doctor and his "marriage match" from Washington. Rebecca and her husband are only the 3rd owners and this magnificent home could not be in better hands for its ongoing, yet out of sight, restoration. All guest areas are completely restored in wonderful fashion. The food can only be described as worthy of 5 stars. Close to downtown yet just far enough away for plenty of relaxation.

Wildwood set's the standards for a B&b. Very friendly owners. Historically significant house. A tour of the house is available after the 3 course breakfast,if time permits Snacks and drinks are always available. .Moderately priced rooms for the area. Not near the lake and area is a little run down.(couple of closed inn's). Being close to downtown out ways the few neighbor negatives. The in room remembrance book has virtually no negative reviews! The go to place in Hot Springs..

We were very impressed with this beautiful, historical B&B - Rebecca's (the owner) passion for the history as well as for THE BEST HOSPITALITY is really reflected in how well they run their business. Warm & Welcoming from the minute we drove up - we were all enchanted with our wonderful weekend!! I am pretty diligent in researching our girls getaways every year - and I had rave reviews this year! While we drove up from Dallas, it was worth the 5 hour drive! Luxurious rooms, comfy beds. Decadent breakfasts. Yummy brownies & cookies in the afternoon. Real treat - The House tour and history! This is a gorgeous home with beautiful hand-carved woodwork throughout. Rebecca has researched and shares her knowledge on how the house was built as well as the original family's history. Can't wait to hear more about the original Ellsworth family and their impact on Hot Springs and the whole state of Arkansas. Hope Rebecca gets to write a book about them - it is fascinating!!

Room Tip: Bring a sleep mask as the windows aren't fully covered and the morning sun can wake you up. The...

My husband and I got Married in December 2012 and wanted a sweet and simple honeymoon, we decided on hot springs because it was not that far away from Texas and we though it would be a relaxing experience. We searched online and found wildwood and man I'm telling you it was amazing! The owners are super sweet and personable and we LOVED the historical factor of the house and how it is incorporated into the stay with the historical tour! Also did I mention the 3-4 course breakfast was A-mazing!! Best place to stay in hot springs :)
