The rooms were older and so they were small and the bathroom was very small. However, the motel was kept up very nice and they had a beautiful indoor pool. The continental breakfast was nice.....waffles, boiled eggs, etc.

Most interesting architectural design in the suite area of this property, with the suites contained within a large quadrant, covered hallways open to the air, all facing a large interior courtyard area with a water feature. Reception area tile and art work catches one's eye. Breakfast was more than adequate to start our day. Our two-bed queen suite offered plenty of space for our several days there, with a separate living area providing a 2nd flat screen TV, bar sink, micro and fridge. The Best Western Turquoise Inn is located in Cortez within walking distance of restaurants, food shopping and liquor stores and offers a great starting place for seeing all that southwest Colorado offers, from Mesa Verde National Park to Sand Canyon to Hovenweep National Monument and Trails of the Ancients.

Room Tip: Go for a suite, especially if you're staying more than one night. It was like a home away from home.

Older property but well maintained. My king rm was very spacious. One could easily fit a rollaway bed or two in the room. Flat screen tv, extra vanity counter, fridge. Only complaint is old crank style single pane windows.
If noise bothers you beware. I could hear every motorcycle and car in the parking lot and kids in pool due to the thin windows.

Staff were very welcoming and really helpful. We had asked for a quiet upstairs room, and that is exactly what we got.Not the biggest room I've stayed in, but I did get a peek into some of the other rooms the next morning and they did vary in size and some were larger. Bed was comfortable and room contained everything we needed including a fridge and reliable wi-fi. We only stayed here for one night on our way to Durango, breakfast was good and we had no complaints.
