I am glad that you enjoyed your stay! Olive is a great option for breakfast and evening drinks because it conveniently located off the lobby and next to the sky bridge to the Monona Terrace. I hope to have you as our guest again!
Stayed at Madison's new Hilton hotel that's connected with Monona Terrace, adapted from Frank Lloyd Wright's vision for the city, and was very pleased with the accommodations, location and staff. The new structure is tastefully sandwiched in between two historic structures with tight but ample parking underground. Like most of the city it pays to plan your route because of all the one way streets, but the location offers great lake views, access to the terrace, and close proximity to some of the finest restaurants Madison has to offer. The lobby decor is minimalist but classic, which makes it look like something Nick and Nora Charles might frequent. Our room was ample, but the location by the elevator made it a little less than quite, an important consideration in a party town like Madison on the weekend. But with that exception we heard nothing from neighboring rooms or other floors, which was a plus. The staff was genuinely friendly, even when passing by while I was getting ice by the vending machine.
Thank you for the feedback about your stay. One of our best assets is our location. We are centrally located in downtown Madison giving our guests easy access to the Monona Terrace and all that downtown Madison has to offer. I am very glad that you found our staff friendly, I look forward to sharing your review with our team!
This was our second time staying at the Hilton Monona Terrace, and both stays have been excellent. Rooms are clean, well kept, and modern; all amenities on the property are similarly well kept, too. Pick an upper floor, and you can have stunning views of either the capitol or Lake Monona...both are great!
Both of our stays were because of events at the Overture Center, which is just a short walk across the Square; lots of friendly restaurants and bars to check out on the way.
We've found the staff to be very helpful, accommodating, and attentive to our requests. We highly recommend this property!
I am glad that you found both of your stays to be excellent! I hope you stay with us again on your next trip to Madison!
The hotel was oversold and did not honor our reservation for a king bed in our room. The weather was very warm and the A/C was loud and then after the noise was fixed it did not cool. On a better note, the staff was very nice and the location of the hotel was great.
I am sorry that we were not able to offer you a King bed. I am very glad that you enjoyed our staff and our location. I hope you give us another opportunity to serve you on your next trip to Madison!
service, rooms, food, amenities...all excellent. Staff helpful and courteous. went for a family wedding; several events were held in hotel and all went well. There was a craft street fair over weekend, and farmer's market just outside the hotel. Made for fun!
Thank you for the great review! I am very pleased that you enjoyed your time at our hotel. I hope that you make us your preferred destination when you return to Madison!
Stayed here last weekend with my 80 year old Mom----my sister made the reservation and because she's a Hilton Diamond member we were upgraded to a gorgeous room on the 11th floor overlooking the lake. The view was outstanding and the room included two queen beds, a desk, an L-shaped sofa, two tvs and an EMPTY fridge (YES!) Small bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Good toiletries, towels and linens and a great assortment of bed pillows (especially love this!) The breakfast buffet in the Capital Club on the 14th floor was delicious: smoked bacon, delicious scrambled eggs, French toast, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, several juices and an assortment of breads and muffins. Only thing which we didn't like was the hashbrowns.
The hotel is one block from the capitol and the renowned Farmer's Market (Saturday) One thing which can be a problem is the congested parking area in front of the hotel---the parking garage under the hotel was full on Saturday night but there is overflow parking next door.
The staff was exceedingly polite and helpful! Highly recommend as a great choice in Madison.
Thank you for taking the time to write this outstanding review! I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. I hope you have you back with us on your next trip to Madison.
