“July weekend stay”

We always enjoy our stay at the Best Western Towne Suites in Madison. It is very clean and the specially cooked breakfast is a good touch. This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. We also like to use the Y down the street for swimming and a workout. We will be back.

I recently stayed at the Best Western on Madison's west side and I was very pleased with the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the beds were comfortable. The Wi-Fi was excellent. I used the fitness center multiple times during my stay and it met my needs. The hot breakfast was good and there was a good selection of hot and cold food options. I had no problems at this hotel. I would stay there again.

We got a very good deal on this hotel, and it served our needs in some ways. Though drab, the place is clean, and though it was quite full when we stayed there, it was pretty quiet. However, we booked a two-room suite and were given a single room instead. Since the place was full, they weren't able to move us. Okay, not the end of the world. But when we asked to speak to the manager, the desk clerk said he'd contact him, and the manager would be in touch with us. In spite of repeated requests, we never were able to get hold of the manager. The combination of bait-and-switch, and then the manager ducking responsibility: not so impressive. The breakfast leaves a LOT to be desired as well. You're better off skipping it and eating somewhere in town.

This is an older facility. Staff seems a bit overwhelmed. Night desk clerk was running around like crazy, new guy who was coming on ended up helping me. There was the same clump of dirt on the stairs at night and the next day (like a mud clump off a boot). Room was adequately clean - older decor, tile seemed a bit dingy in the bathroom. Bedspread cleanliness looked a bit iffy, so I took that off the bed. It was nice to be able to have 2 king size beds (never seen that in a hotel before!). Room was very large for a standard hotel room. Bathtub was HUGE. I have mixed reviews on the made-to-order breakfast. I would recommend going out. There was one chef trying to cook for the entire hotel. She was working her butt off!!!!!! I can't fault her at all since she was making to order several different items by herself. Portions were small and there didn't seem to be anyone to restock things like bread, cereal, etc. Seemed like the maintenance man was trying to assist her by sticking a loaf of bread out occasionally. Food she cooked was good, but not enough to keep you full for long - especially when the other essential items went unstocked. This hotel met our needs for spending a night, but it probably wouldn't be a first pick if we found our way here again.

Got a good deal through Expedia, so I was happy with the price. The hotel looks a little old from the outside. Our suite was close to the elevator, do there was extra traffic & a little noisier. We didn't try the free breakfast, instead choose to go down the street. The bed was comfortable. The only other bad thing was the carpet was wet by the wall with the A/C unit. Too late to call the evening we checked in & were crawling into bed, just let them know when we checked out. And for you ladies with long hair like me, bring your own shampoo & conditioner (they only provide a small 2-in-1).

This facility met or exceeded my expectations in every area. The room was clean and beautiful. The breakfast was made to order. I was greeted warmly by staff when checking in and checking out. I will definitely stay here again.

Attracts many business travelers and student groups. Seems to be an older hotel with some upgrades. Noise travels easily to neighboring rooms. Outside looks more like a business than a hotel. Parking is decent.
