“Could be better if”
Reviewed 16 November 2011

This park is a nice park it runs the lenght of the Mississippi river and holds the memorial for the Holocaust but this park is also it seems a home for everyone who doesn't have a home. You see men and women alike (more men than women) who are sleeping on various benchs, steps and on the grass. It was odd to see that so many are left to just panhandle anyone who will let them. None of them made me feel uneasy except the group of them that where gather at the end of the Memorial in the park all in all this park is beatiful and needs to be seen but it is marred by the many homeless people who call it home.

“Take a stroll along Old Man River”
Reviewed 22 August 2011

This is a great place to relax after walking around the quarter and shopping. There is usually a breeze and if you have never seen the Ms River you must see it. It is a very importanat part of our history as the USA. If there is a festival going on, chances are there will be a band and food around the park area so don't miss it.

“Beautiful view of the river marred by countless homeless men”
Reviewed 11 June 2011

If the weather is pleasant, do take a walk along the riverfront and enjoy the views of the Mississippi, even if just once. Unfortunately, if you look away from the Mississippi, you will witness a sad reality of N.O., homelessness and urban poverty.
