“My Favorite Street in New Oreans...”
Reviewed 4 August 2012

This street has many excellent restaurants...The Court of Two Sisters, and Mr. B's to mention only two. It is quieter than Bourbon Street and offers an escape from the rowdy noise...if you aren't into the noise. There are also many fine shops along the street, including Rouse's Grocery. BTW... Be on the lookout for Grandpa Elliott on the corner of Royal St and Toulouse St during the day when he is in town...what a treat.

“Love to Shop???”
Reviewed 3 August 2012

This is a fantastic street to shop! I was in New Orleans in July and although it was typical New Orleans weather we still walked up and down Royal to shop. Love all the different types of shops and the incredible finds! One of my favorite things to do when in New Orleans.

“Nice to look at but overpriced”
Reviewed 3 August 2012

Royal street is nice to have a leisurely stroll through, enjoy the balconies and, most impportant, the street musicians that are regularly on the street. It is much calmer than Bourbon and offers some good restaurants and some nice shops.

Of course, on Royal street you pay royal prices.

“A break from the cacophony of Bourbon Street”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

Lovely antique stores, boutiques and art galleries/shops! We wandered into a gallery that seemed to go on and on - our "prize" at the end was a beautiful courtyard with lush tropical foliage and running fountain.
