Close to the French Quarter, but without the noise and bustle so you can get a good night's sleep on the comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and wonderful entrees. The inn is quirky and gives you a real feel of living in New Orleans. The Faubourg Marigny is a wonderful neighborhood, close to everything, reasonably safe, quiet, with friendly neighbors if you happen to be walking around. Great innkeepers, highly recommended.

Room Tip: The front carriage room has a little sitting area large enough for one (good for nursing a baby in t...

We were a group of 6 friends coming down to Big Easy for a few days fun. We were glad that we picked B&W for our stay. The location was great and we were able to walk to most of the attractions. The breakfast was excellent. And the coffee was delicious. Tom was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us many good tips. Definitely will come back.

I'd been to NOLA before to visit with a dear friend in the Bywater neighborhood. This time we stayed at B + W with Tom and Dana and deeply enjoyed the proximity to favored local and touristic haunts, the food and event suggestions; delivered with personality and intelligence, and the wonderful breakfasts. There is an honor-system fridge always stocked with big bottles of water and micros, a little turtle that hides among the koi in the trickling pond, and a big hot tub backed by the warbles of mating frogs in the neigborhood. Sadly, the neighborhoods surrounding the Quarter have been recently plagued with constant crime, generally ushered on by kids who are out of school and in hard times. We brought our bikes and didn't have any troubles whizzing about, but this B+B gave us a little hideaway from the growing crime issue.
The best thing, to bring it back to a positive note, is the fact that we loved meeting the other guests and even made a great connection with folks whom we plan to also visit in Montreal!

Room Tip: we loved the carriage house for it's privacy

Dana and Tom were nice enough to accommodate my wife and I for one night on our trip back to Texas from Florida. We were a bit early to the B&W Courtyards but Tom came right over and let us into our room. We stayed in the Carriage House room, which was ultra-comfortable and beautifully decorated in the old New Orleans style. The bedroom and bathroom have been recently renovated and everything was in perfect order. The Carriage House room fronts Chartres, but Marigny is a relatively quiet neighborhood and we had a great sleep after a night out in the Big Easy.

We know New Orleans well, and the location of the B&W Courtyards, in our opinion, is the best possible. A safe, quiet neighborhood both day and night with very easy and quick walks to the French Market, the rest of the quarter and Frenchman street. But you will also want to check out the many new restaurants that are popping up in Marigny and it's adjacent neighborhood Bywater - some of these ("The Franklin" is an example) are outstanding and in walking distance from the B&W. FYI - there is also world class bakery across the street from the B&W....we had to also get some breakfast pastries there. Incredible.

Our stay was a great experience and we hope to book again here our next time in New Orleans.

My husband & I stayed at B&W Courtyards just by luck. I had never visited NOLA before (Drew had) & really wanted to be able to experience the culture & essence of this fabulous city. Dana & Tom, our hosts, paid attention to every detail of our vacation. They provided an excellent B&B setting with top notch hospitality, breakfast, conversation, tour guides, & lodging. B&W is perfectly situated near all of the NOLA happenings. We stayed in the main house's upstairs suite & felt totally comfortable. We are so happy that we had the opportunity to experience NOLA's B&W Courtyards & were already planning on returning before we even made it home. Thanks Tom & Dana... See you soon!! Sincerely, Timiko & Drew

This review is late as we stayed in Sept 2013, but the memories are not forgotten! I know the place changed hands since then, but from the current reviews, it still is a great place! I'm sure when we head back to NOLA we'll stay here again and meet the new owners.

As part of our anniversary trip, we spent 3 nights here and were welcomed with a smile, served great breakfast, and had great convos with our hosts.

It's in a great spot to walk to Frenchman St and Bourbon St. Not once did we not feel safe make the trek to and from.

Thanks again and we'll be back.

My wife and I stayed at B&W for our 1 year anniversary. We absolutely loved the layout, atmosphere, breakfast food and overall hospitality. Dana & Tom have really figured it out and are amazing hosts. When you see the front of the property, there is no way to know what is behind the main entrance. The courtyard and fish pond are extremely charming and peaceful. We stayed in the main house (small suite upstairs) and absolutely loved the layout. We loved every minute of it and will definitely be staying there next time we are in New Orleans. Thanks Tom and Dana!
