“Classic Hotel”

The Roosevelt is just plain classy. Its in a good location for enjoying New Orleans. On the edge of the French Quarter, so there's easy access, without the noise, confusion and histrionics of actually staying In the Quarter. The lobby, bars, restaurants, rooms....everything about this hotel screams "classy." The staff is excellent - they really understand and demonstrate good hospitality. This will be our hotel of choice for any future trips to NOLA.

This hotel and staff were great! This is definitely one of the nicest hotels that my wife and I have ever stayed at. The location is awesome. The suite was wonderful. Corner unit w/ 3 windows, lots of space, walk-in closet. We stayed for my wife's birthday and they sent up a bottle of champagne and cake. The king bed in the suite was the most comfortable hotel bed that we've ever experienced. We are definitely going to stay there again for our next trip to NOLA. Staff available via text message was a nice touch. If you are Hilton Gold or higher then Wi-Fi is free.

From Randy who not only gets you cabs but doubles as a tour guide, to the wonderful housekeeping staff that comes in like a fairy to perform turn down magic, our brief stay was near perfect. The room, though smallish, was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and cold! The only hiccup was the lazy employee at the coffee shop. Hotel was centrally located, only a block or so from the filthy, smelly French Quarter and the streetcars that will take you all over the city. Only about five blocks from Harrah's. An easy walk but after dark, beware of the "salesmen"!

We booked this room to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. All staff were very friendly. They went out of their way with kindness. The room devour was beautiful and the furnishings were rich. We even had a walk-in closet with all am entities one could think of. After dinner and a night out on the town we came back to the room to find a bottle of champagne iced down in a silver bucket and two champagne flutes. Our bed was turned down with chocolates on our pillows and each had a plush bath robe laid out for us with a bed tray of amenities.

We went on a family trip to NOLA, and decided to splurge at stay at The Roosevelt. And, while our first impression was WOW due to spectacular nature of the lobby, we were underwhelmed with several of our experiences. The coffee in the coffee shop was warm, not hot, the pool, was warm, not cold, and the room, was a bit smelly. We did receive some amazing recommendations from the concierge, who led us to Morning Call in City Park for beignets, and several other local restaurants. I don't think we will be going back to NOLA anytime soon, but if we did, I am pretty sure that we would not stay at the Roosevelt again.

This hotel was a step back into the golden age of travel. With the hotel just a block from Canal Street, it is close to the French Quarter with its restaurants and entertainment, while allowing for a peaceful experience when you return to your room.

The Roosevelt is a beautiful hotel. My husband and I spend a weekend in NOLA roughly 6 times per year. This was our 4th or 5th stay at The Roosevelt. The hotel is convenient to the restaurants and shopping we enjoy. The price point is very high for the convenience. The valet parking is one of the most expensive we have encountered in NOLA and there is a daily charge of $20 for WiFi. Even the most mediocre of hotels offer this as a courtesy. There are other hotels in the quarter that offer the NOLA experience at a better value.
