Used to be a boys boarding school.rather serene until u walk out onto the street.water pressure great in rooms.bed comfy.rooms kinda small but has dresser and desk.no frig. Windows overlooking courtyard.pretty nice.enjoyed it.oh..u pull in off st..they come unload your car then pull your car into an elevator and off it goes never to be seen again unless u need it and they will retrieve it for u. Always had to ask for more towels but they bring it up. Also located like 1 block from cafe De monde and like 5 min walk from there to French market.

Have stayed here 3 times over the years.
Ideal location, 1/2 block from Jackson Square.
Easy walking distance to Bourbon Street, Cafe du Monde and most French Quarter attractions.
Very nice continental breadbasket.

Go ahead and get a room with a private balcony! We loved it. Overlooking St. Ann street with a view of Jackson Square. You are steps from Cafe Du Monde which you can bring back and enjoy on your private balcony. The king room was nice and the bed comfortable. As a few other reviewers have noted you can hear some street noise at night but it was not too bad. Well worth it for the private balcony. Next time we'll bring a bottle of wine to enjoy at night. No problems parking the car in the elevator lot next door. The man that runs it is great. Overall a fantastic experience.

Very nice hotel in wonderful location just off Jackson Square. Originally the first Louisiana school and clearly old. Decorated with nice antique furniture but rooms are a little small and missing a fridge and wifi is very hit and miss

Stayed on ground floor by pool in a room that had living room and bedroom separated by hallway bath. Step out the door and you're there at the Church in the Quarter. I have also stayed at six other places. There are other places less expensive, but not nearly so convenient for parking, eating, etc.

Just stayed here late March and really enjoyed it. Great location and very New Orleans feel. Started with 3 balcony courtyard rooms then had to cancel one. When we arrived my room had been flooded so they wanted to move us 3 blocks away to another hotel. We didn't want to move because we were traveling with a group and didn't want to be separated so they managed to get a rollaway up in the one room with 2 double beds and we were fine as a matter of fact the next morning when our room was ready we chose to stay in the one room it had plenty of space and us girls had a ball. The location was great for a group because you are close to everything and people can go and come as they please. Yes I would stay here again even with the hic-cups everything was taken care of to my satisfaction and staff were courteous when fixing issues.

I love this hotel. The location is wonderful. The staff is great. Corey was awesome. She knows where to go for great food. There is also a restaurant next to the hotel at the corner of St. Anne's and Rue Royal that has a Chihuly chandelier above the bar!! The owner's nephew (the bartender) was so nice as to tell me how he and the electrician installed it.
The saltwater pool and courtyards are really nice as well. I loved hearing the bells from St. Louis Cathedral while my feet were immersed in the water.
