We came in with the rain, a bit road weary and a bit America weary, and found a home away from home. Jill, with her husband Charles, couldn't have been more accommodating or welcoming. They have been in this business for 25+ years and it shows in the treatment of their guests. We got a bunch of good advice, on where to eat, what to see, where to go (or not as it were) and much more. A word of advice: Don't miss breakfast! Not only for the food, but for the social interaction with people from different parts of the US and the World, with different ideas, outlooks and experiences.
Having planed to stay for 6 days, we winded up staying for 10, just for the sheer enjoyment of this place and "N'Orleans". With that, we actually stayed in two different rooms, of which both were really good rooms. Whilst situated in a residential area, it is close to shops, restaurants and public transportation, the best of two worlds!
My husband and I highly recommend staying here, and we can't stress enough the good service and hospitality we received here. We will be back, that is for sure!More
