If you want a quiet, charming and effortless New Orleans B&B experience, The Chimes is perfect. The location really can't be beat; you could spend ages exploring the Garden District and Magazine St. alone, but then there's the fantastic streetcar right there for a quick, cheap trip into town and the Quarter. We stayed for a holiday weekend, and even though the place was booked, it was quiet and we felt catered to as if we were the only guests. The breakfast was very fresh and lovely, continental style which is an excellent way to start a day of touring in a city with such opulent food choices. Owner Jill was friendly and relaxed, helpful and super knowledgeable in all the right measures, and staying at The Chimes really felt more like staying at a friend's guest cottage. We will be back.
