Across the street to the French Quarter. Half a block to Frenchman St (the best music scene in NOLA, IMO). The French Market and Riverfront Streetcar (and its connection to the Canal St trolley lines) are also just steps away. Limited free parking-a rare commodity in NOLA; park and walk or take a cab or transit around town-its cheaper and you'll see more!

Staff is great. They will provide almost anything you may need, and can also book tours for you. Coin op laundry machine in garage. Units have mini kitchen-fridge, 2 burners, microwave, coffee pot (but hey, this is N'awlins- eat out!!!).

Train or club noise can occasionally be heard, but after a night out on the town it won't take long to sleep.

HdlM is always my first preference for NOLA accommodations.

If being close to the French Quarter is what you are looking for this is your place. The trolley is across the street taking you down to Canal street. You can also walk through the French Quarter. The staff is friendly, overall pretty quiet. Our bedroom faced the train tracks, making that a bit noisy at times. It is clean and comfortable but a bit outdated. we didn't rent a car and were glad we didn't, we walked or took the trolley everywhere.

Located at the edge of the French Quarter and Marigny section of town. The French Market is approx.1 block away. Walking distance to trolley car and bus. away from Bourbon St. madness but close enough to walk. Jazz clubs right around the corner. The hotel is clean, comfortable and staff is very eager to be of any help. One and two bedroom suites, with fully equipped kitchenettes and bathrooms equipped with jacuzzis

Room Tip: Rooms on the 2ndfloor front open on to the terrace, great to sit out with your morning coffee and/or...

Friendly staff, nice clean and quiet. Love the location and its proximity to --being at the edge of the French Quarter and French market. Would love to come back to this place next time I'm in town.the only drawback are the flat pillows and the beds if you have back problems it would be aggravated.

Room Tip: Get a middle room overlooking the courtyard, not the corner rooms...they are tinier

Reception desk was Great! thanks Donnie. All of New Orleans has a joie de vivre!! Fantastic. Great breakfast nearby is Magnolia grill.Fabulous breakfast at La Peniche. Definitely needed the wade pool. Just perfect. However, not that many owners in august which was perfect for the small pool. Pictures others have posted are quite precise. I would definitely go again!

We traded our timeshare for a two bedroom unit at the Hotel de la Monnaie. The furniture and decor are a bit dated but clean and maintained. It reminded me of staying with relatives in an apartment in the city. There was housekeeping service every day, which does not always happen at timeshare condos. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for walking, dining, entertainment, and access to public transportation. We also appreciated the parking garage, a real bonus at no extra cost. There is only one washer/dryer in the parking garage area, but we had no trouble using it when we needed to.

Stayed for a week in a two bedroom/one-bath unit. It's a bit dated, but well-maintained and quaint hotel at the edge of the French Quarter and better yet, at the base of Frenchmen Street. The streetcar stop is across the street and the French Market is a block over. Staff was friendly and helpful, and maid service is very good. I would certainly come back. The only draw back was that we had one of the rooms fairly close to the train tracks that run along the Mississippi River, and the trains do run at night and blow their whistles, however, we were usually pretty exhausted by the end of the day, so it made little difference once we were use to it. All in all, a great place to base a trip to NOLA and the French Quarter. We didn't bother with a car, but parking is free and available on a first come first serve basis. If you are travelling to NOLA for the atmosphere, the restaurants and the fun, this is a great place. If you expect flat screen tv's and get upset with a slow, old elevator, you might want to look elsewhere. Overall, a great trip and we will be back to the Hotel de la Monnaie!
