Ruby and Peter were hospitable, informative, and generous. They made my partner and I feel at home from the beginning - making our breakfasts to order every day, giving us recommendations for New Orleans (specific festivals, events that weekend), and providing us privacy and coziness during our stay. We were in for a conference, but also got a chance to explore New Orleans and come back to a comfortable inn full of antiques and decorated in a truly vintage New Orleans fashion. The room was roomy and filled with antique furniture and vintage photos, and the bed was very comfortable. There was only a shower, but it had good pressure and it was quite hot. Breakfast was served any time between 7.30 am and 9.30 am (eggs, belgian waffles, bacon, fruit), and we appreciated the flexibility.

Although the inn is about a 10 minute drive to the French Quarter, there were plenty of great restaurants nearby and the off street parking, free wireless internet, and complimentary coffee/mugs were extra treats. Also, one of the best values we've seen with B and B's - a little over $100 per night - some cheap(er) hotels are more than that! They take visa/mastercard. We highly recommend Rose Manor Inn!

We stayed at Rose Manor for 5 nights while sailing at a nearby yacht club. The room was very comfortable and the welcome very friendly. While there is a lot of work going on nearby due to the levees we never noticed it inside the B&B.

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast Inn located a few blocks from Lake Pontchartrain. About 6 quick miles from the French Quarter. This inn was wonderful! Our host Peter was gracious and helpful with any questions we had about New Orleans and the surrounding area. The offerings for breakfast covered all your wants and needs. Freshly made coffee and eggs cooked to order. Juice, cereal, tea, fresh fruit and pastries, yogurt and more. We stayed in a first floor room named the "Maple" room. It was very spacious and had wonderful furnishings including the most comfortable king size bed. Private bathrooms for each room is also a plus. The rooms come equiped with a fridge and microwave which is nice also. Internet acess is also avaliable. This is a beutiful home with wonderful hosts. What is also nice is after a long day sight seeing and out about New Orleans you can come back and walk next door to a great restraunt that also includes a full size bar with outside dining. A great sushi restraunt is few doors down which also had great food. Never heard any noise from these establishments or other noises from inside other erea's of the home. (also another restraunt was soon to be open on the same block)

We stayed 5 nights at Rose Manor. Great conversation, great breakfast, great location - right near the lake. There are several restaurants within walking distance. As a bonus, lovely antiques adorn the Manor.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this charming establishment over President's Day weekend. Owned and operated by a wonderful couple, Ruby and Peter, Rose Manor is situated near Lake Ponchartrain on the North side of the city, just a short (10 minute) drive from downtown New Orleans. Ruby and Peter were more than generous in helping us find our way around the city with insightful tips and recommendations that could only come from locals. Each morning Peter cooked us a hearty breakfast to order, even on a late morning following a Mardi Gras parade. Hospitality aside (and they ARE incredibly hospitable), the manor was a very pleasant experience. The rooms are very large and classically decorated. I don't suspect there is a better value in New Orleans as far as lodging is concerned, especially so among Bed and Breakfasts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Nate & Francesca
