We went to New Orleans for a quick 3 night stay and loved the location of our hotel! It was a quick skip to bourbon and near great restaurants and bars. Our hotel was safe, clean, and we loved the little courtyard they had at the center of the hotel, great for getting drinks. Definitely staying here when we come back!

Our recent visit to New Orleans was made all the more enjoyable by the staff of Le Marais, where we stayed for 6 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the selection of food provided for breakfast was extensive and of fine quality. We found all of the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful, especially the Hotel Manager, the lobby personnel, housekeeping, and the bar and food service staff. We would certainly make a return visit to Le Marais, rather than the large, impersonal hotels.

Hotel Marais is a small boutique hotel with a great location just off Bourbon Street. Within one minute you can be away from it all in a peaceful, pleasant environment. The common area is small but charming with an outdoor courtyard with nice chairs, some tables and a small pool. It is lovely and calm. Hotel staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was included - lots of choices from yogurt to bacon and scrambled eggs. The down side was our room - it was very small with an odd bathroom, which we finally realized realized was a handicapped bathroom, but a strange small one which would have been hard to get a chair into. We had requested a view, but looked over mechanical stuff! This was the JazzFest weekend and the hotel was completely mobbed. So in all honesty, we didn't make a big deal about changing. I guess my final advice is to be very clearly what you are getting for a room.

Room Tip: Ask a lot of questions.

The staff is professional, helpful and pleasant. They were wonderful in trying to accommodate in locating us to a quiet room, but the building can't make up for carrying voices. The walls are paper thin and the lobby is a echo chamber, which can be a problem when, ahem, revelers return from the bars which, since it's close proximity to Bourbon Street, can be ongoing. The hipster-designed bath has no shower door, so water gets everywhere in the bathroom. Towels were worn and in need of refreshing. Not what was expected for the price.

Spent six nights here with my sister. We booked a balcony room but where given one over the street and by the elevator. We asked to move immediately and they accommodated us in another room but no balcony. Truth is we would not have spent time on the balcony anyway so big deal.

The location is perfect - right in the quarter but quiet. Great desk staff and secure elevator access to the rooms. The hotel decor is very nice, bright and chic. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Only two things that could have been better would be a choice of pillows. Too firm for my taste...and the shutters allowed more light in than a black out curtain would. Again, no big deal but when you wander the quarter until all hours, you may want to sleep in.

Stay here, you won't be disappointed!

My friend and I stayed here three nights in January because I had a conference in town. I chose the hotel based on all the positive Tripadvisor reviews - it did not disappoint! Upon checking in, we received two drink coupons for the bar, which was very chic and had some unique cocktail choices (the snack mix they give you is also fantastic!). Our room was spacious and comfortable. We especially liked the free internet and breakfast. The breakfast consisted of both hot and cold items and was more than filling. We also used the gym during our stay and found it to be nice and well equipped.

Probably the biggest perk of the hotel was the awesome location right off of Bourbon St. Since it was just off Bourbon St., you could not hear all the outside noise, however, it was also right there so that we could walk to everything. We felt very safe and were impressed by how there were always multiple people working at the front desk and paying attention to exactly who was coming in/out of the hotel.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I would definitely recommend and would gladly stay here again!

This hotel is a little secret and a big gem in the French Quarter.

Great staff, clean rooms and wonderful location but a little pricey.

The ginger cookies are a nice little treat. As is the breakfast.
