“Very Enjoyable”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Our eight family members took the cemetary and garden district tour with Magic Tours on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Matthew was our tour guide. He started us off in Lafayette Cemetary No. 1 in the heart of the garden district. He was quite knowledgable and interesting. We then walked around the garden district with Matthew pointing out the architectural styles and sharing the history of the area. He really knew his facts and could answer any question we threw at him. In fact, one of my sons-in-law took notes the whole way he was learning so much! We really recommend this tour. Of course part of the fun of the day was finishing off our visit to the garden district with a jazz lunch at Commander's Palace which would also top my list of recommendations for New Orleans.

“Great historical tour”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Our guide Ronald (a 6th generation New Orleander) was very knowledgeable in the history of the town. It was less of a ghost tour and more of a historical tour (which I didn't mind). He did sprinkle in some of the ghost stories without being cheesy or dramatic like some of the other tour guides which I witnessed. I also liked that he was a gentleman to passerby on the street and to the other groups on tour (which is more than I can say for some of the other RUDE tour guides who shoved their way through our crowd). We had our 10 year old with us and it was not scary or inappropriate. Part of ourRVlife.com tour across the USA.

“Ghost Tour Fun”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

Although we didn't see any supernatural visions, our tour guide, Dawn, was wonderful!! She knew lots of interesting facts and stories about New Orleans and was very funny. I would definitely recommend this.

“Ghosts Haunts and Voodoo Tour”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

If you want a walking tour that covers the history and architecture of the French Quarter, this one is for you. Ours was led by Walter, a former history professor, who made the point that this tour is the only one that is historically accurate. He was knowledgeable, interesting and informative. Those are the positives. The negatives...the voodoo portion of this tour is nearly non-existent. We passed Marie LaVeau's house, got a couple of anecdotal stories, but nothing else related to voodoo. The tour stops at a dive bar called Harry's for drinks and rest room. It is too small, drinks are watered down, 2 seater ladies restroom and 3 different tours stopped all within 10 minutes of each other. Why weren't we taken to one of the many known haunted bars and treated to more haunted history while we drank/rested? Would have been much better. Last negative...you are not returned to where the tour started! If you do not know the city, didn't think to bring a map, or don't have a good sense of direction, you will have no clue where to go to get back where you belong! Luckily that didn't apply to us, but that should be a warning issued before the tour starts! I would advise this tour for history buffs, not for people looking to be entertained.

“Great Ghost Tour with Matthew”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

My husband and I have been on various ghost tours around the country and this was one of the best. Our tour guide Matthew was informative, funny, and entertaining. Some ghost tour guides can be really cheesy, but not this one. We all had a blast, learning a lot of about New Orleans, and heard some amazing ghost stories. Our guide even joined us for a drink afterwards! I highly recommend this tour!
