We picked Magic Tours' VooDoo and Ghost tour ourselves based on Trip Advisor reviews, and the low cost. We have a two year old also, and we all enjoyed it! Dawn our guide was very enthusiastic about her job and shared history as well as personal stories along the way.We have no experience with other tours, but would recommend this one!

Awesome tour and very informative. If you're looking into learning about New Orleans history, how it became what it is today, and why things are the way they are, this is the tour for you. Andrew did an amazing job. He is funny, sharp, educated, knows New Orleans history, and is a devout New Orlean. Not to mention, he is a nice guy. If you're looking for a scary or embellished ghost and vampire tour, this is not the tour for you. We truly enjoyed it. Look for the Groupon deal (52% off).

We were a very small group. There were only 5 of us including Mathew the guide. Our meeting place was the Royal Oyster house on the corner of Royal and St. Louis. We walked straight up St. Louis to St. Louis Cemetery No#1 stopping occasionally for Mathew to regal us with some stories, facts and history about the french quarter, new orleans and basically anything we could throw at him. I especially liked when the conversation turned to the difference between cajun and creole. It was a very informative, laid back and fun way to spend a few hours on a hot day in July. Once we reached the cemetery, we were again told stories and facts about some of its occupants and how the tombs were utilized....(recycling at its finest.....organic level, ewwww). I highly recommend this tour. I don't know if the groups get any larger but 4 or 5 people is perfect. Mathew did say it's best to go in a group and i have to agree with him as it's not really in a great neighborhood and is out of the French Quarter.

It was if we had our own private tour guide. My family were the only group Dawn had. She was excellent. She knew all the locals and was full of knowledge! Just a pleasure to spend the am with and learned so much of the wonderful history of exciting New Orleans. We highly recommend this company and Dawn!
