We really wanted to see this intriguing sounding museum. The website said it is on the Riverwalk.... NOT! The Riverwalk is being rebuilt and the museum is closed there. It maybe somewhere but we could not find it. They need to update their website if thye do exist.

This was a delightful museum in which to browse and to get an idea of the history of food in New Orleans. They will soon be moving to a new location but I think they're taking all the current exhibits with them.

An excellent in-depth exploration into the culinary history of NOLA. Exhibits and reading intensive as many of the placards are posters of paragraphs, but are filled with interesting tidbits of information. Plenty of artifacts line the walls.

Note: March 2013: They are in the process of moving locations and as a result parts are fully packed up already. Only half price admission was charged. If you are interested in going, contact them first to see if it is worth it.

Would love to go back when they are fully installed in their new location!

Really neat place, cheap admission and wow do they have some cool artifacts! Although its a bit tiny it had everything about new Orleans food and booze too which was cool. Nice gift shop too!

It seems that they were in middle of a major move and expansion. We stopped by on a recent visit and the clerk basically told us that the entire beverage exhibition is now closed. He indicated that their new location will be really great and a totally transformed exhibit... but he didn't try too hard to sell us on seeing what remained. The move and reimagination timeframe was not very clear. As others have noted, it's a little off the beaten path. Likely not worth seeking out until they reopen in a new location.
