Bistro Daisy is located in a small, former house, on Magazine Street. The interior is small, with 16 tables located a bit close together; not really a problem, but not as comfortable as it could be. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and contributed to a fun evening of good food. The food is creative, with a nod toward Southern and a little French. Our meals (the black drum special and the porcini dusted chicken) were both very good, the chicken was particularly well-prepared. Our starters of crab and beets, and seared yellow fin tuna were also very enjoyable.

Although I liked the atmosphere, it was a bit bare inside and could use a little more color and detail. Overall, this was an enjoyable meal, in a nice atmosphere, with very friendly and helpful staff.

Our service and food were what one has come to expect in NOLA, very good. However, the setting is very small, bare floors, bare walls, and high ceilings. So if you happen to have the unfortunate luck of being near a loud (rudely) table of guests, you can forget hearing any of your own conversation. More than one table nearby asked the staff to intervene, yet we never saw them intervene. Free dessert was supposed to soften the blow- the desserts were fabulous, but we would have appreciated being able to hear our table's conversation.

We had a wonderful time! The food was wonderful and the service was great. The interior of the restaurant was a elegant and cozy. It is in a New Orleans shot gun house, that is the perfect place to enjoy wonderful food with family and friends!

I found this Restaurant from Zagats 2011 Best Dining in NOLA - man were they dead on, this fine fine Bistro is in Garden District away from the tourist traps of French Quarter. The ower greeted me when I called from KY to make resv early in the week and was warm and very glad to hear we were coming to NOLA and wanted to try her place. She was there to greet us when we arrived, the wine list was fantastic and the food was outstanding, the service impeccable, the wait staff funny, engaging and not overbearing or bothersome, you are not rushed but encouraged to stay late she ofers to call you a taxi, i think she would have driven us back to Hotel. If you go to NOLA and have ONE dining experience you will never forget Bistro Daisy and will tell everyone you ever talk to who is headed tothe Big Easy to forget Commanders Palace and that tourist trap Court Of Two Sisters and get to Bistro Daisy! michael plummer fort mitchell, ky [--]
