I took this tour in June. I have been to many cities and often the ghost tours are my favorite part. This was the worst ghost tour I have ever been a part of. I'm not actually sure we heard one single ghost story. What we did hear a LOT of was negative comments as every single other tour passed by. Alexander would comment that many of the other tour guides took his tour and stole all of his material. Really? So they don't tell any ghost stories either. There were stories, that were long winded, almost failed to get to any sort of point, and were not scary. There was also a plethora of negative bashing of the city, including the government and the police officers. We were told that police officers don't respond to calls. Funny that we saw police cars (with lights on, going somewhere) constantly. We were also told that NOLA has many, many crimes that are not advertised on the news, that the city has been forgotten, for example that there is an active serial killer there now, and that hundreds of women have been found buried in a park, close by. Hmmmm, so that coverage about the shooting on Bourbon street last weekend was a one in a million? Doubt it. Overall, extremely disappointing. I'm really not sure we heard a ghost story, only a few crime stories. And, if you look at my other postings on Tripadvisor, you won't find a negative one.

The Lord Chaz tour is definitely one of the top things we did in NOLA. Professor Alexander was our guide and seemed extremely learned. He took us through the French Quarter with stories and humor at every corner. He made history come alive... in a scary way.

Alexander Adams was AWESOME - he was incredibly entertaining while walking us through a couple hundred years of history including the incidents of the past week. Despite my cynicism of having to walk for two hours - the time flew by and his mid-tour stop for a bathroom / beverage visit was an unexpected and appreciated treat. Don't bother with the others - visit this "original" New Orleans option - support the locals with Lord Chaz and Alexander! P.S. Alexander - hope the Disney trip is all that you hope for!
