The staff here are among the most friendly and helpful of any campground I've visited. The location is outside of New Orleans but the park offers a free shuttle service to the French Quarter (leaving at 9:00 am and 5:00 pm; returning at 5:45 pm). Since there is no evening shuttle pick-up, I suggest arranging with another guest to share at taxi back to the RV park. The park is kept spotlessly clean including grounds, restrooms and showers. The showers are very small however. A train line runs behind the RV park; there must be several level crossings in the neighbourhood because the train blows its horn constantly for a minute or two. That said, in the four days we stayed I only heard the train a half dozen times. The shuttle driver also gives a pretty good guided tour along the way.

The sites are back-in with a concrete pad, generally level with grass between sites (the campground is treed but most sites lack shade). The sites are reasonably spaced apart given this is an urban park.

This is the worst koa I have ever stayed at. My wife and my son are here working and all the rules 4 over nighters is different than all the rules of long term camper. The staff are rude obnoxious and arrogant. They act like they're better than the people that pay their salaries. We are going to stay for one more month, then we are going to leave this campground and never return again. If this was the last campground on the face of the earth I would rather stay at the bottom of an outhouse then stay here ever again.
Sincerely,
Super unhappy disappointed camper.

The train is a pain in the butt. That been said the staff are great and the sites are good. The cab ride is $30 to the French quarter if you miss the shuttle. Hurricanes will help you sleep if you are near the train line.

Away from anything, non pull through sites are extremely uneven, phone booth size shower/changing area, shuttle pickup at 5:45pm just when things get interesting. If you don't have a towed vehicle to use, don't stay here.

Online this looked like a great place to stay. The staff was helpful and guide us to our site. But we where backed up to the train tracks. It wouldn't have been to bad but the Trains ran all night long sometimes every 30 minutes and would Blow their Horn 12 times approaching the park and 12 time passing the park. When I asked the owner in the morning he told me that is a problem. Good place to stay if you want to be up all night.

Friendly staff who seemed to go out of their way for their guests. Great courtesy shuttles to New Orleans but the seats fill up fast because this is a busy campground. It is about 40 mins outside of the French Quarter, but the ease of the shuttle makes up for the crazy traffic in New Orleans. Good value for the $$ and relatively convenient location if you want to visit other attractions like the swamp rides or plantations that dot the Mississippi River.

Room Tip: The downsideis there are constant trains running, but since New Orleans is a port, I guess you can e...

The service here is fantastic. I have a tent space with utilities. The laundry, restrooms and pool are very convenient. Fabulous colors (Mardi Gras). Free shuttle to Bourbon Street. The driver is great! He gives information on the area and is very nice and prompt. This is a great service. Restrooms are very clean and lots of hit water. The office hours are great 8-8. None of this closing at 5 o'clock stuff. So they are available when you need them. This KOA does not have the kabins. I really liked this KOA.
