We had an awesome time on our morning swamp tour! The swamp was gorgeous and we saw lots of gators and wild pigs. They feed the gators from the boat, so the alligators really close and we got some amazing video and pictures. The bus was on time, the boat was fine and captain was knowledgeable -- he could identify the gators from a distance and they all had fun names (Broke Jaw Betty! Chubs!). The tour was long and we felt like it was a very good value.
Despite this great time, I do wonder what the ecological impact is of feeding gators marshmallows and hot dogs and having them come right up to the boats? The website has a short section about being eco-friendly, but this isn't addressed, and there were a lot of boats out.
I'd recommend this --it's a great time, beautiful, very interesting and unique -- but I do worry about the long term impacts.
