“Great music, mediocre food, horrid service.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2014

Great music doesnt save such horrible service. We were there December 30th. Virtually no crowd. We asked for a menu for food and got a drink menu with a few basic food items: hamburger, nachos...No prices were listed for any of the food items. The wings turned out fairly good, but the fried pickles were bland, soggy and tasteless. The worst i have ever tried. To order food or to get our bill we had to get up and search the place to find someone willing to help. Even then it took almost 15 minutes to get the bill. We saw several couples and groups leave because of lack of service. Our untrained waitress was nice, but i saw what i believe to be a manager and other staff playing games on computer and cell phone. Not willing to help. Bartender was helpful, but didnt, or couldnt, leave the bar area. They dont care about the customer, and you shouldnt care about them.

“Nice hour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2014

We stopped in at the courtyard because of the band playing. They were really good, in fact, excellent, especially the harmonica player. We ordered drinks and just rested and enjoyed. I agree with the other poster that the waitress could have been a bit more pleasant and attentative. I have found that true of several places in New Orleans. I suppose they just get burned out or overwhelmed,

“Really nice Cuban restaurant ”

The entrees were average but the jerk chicken skewers were amazing! The mojitos were very strong as well. The staff were super friendly.

“Frozen and neglected”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2013

Not much to say other than it took 20 minutes to get a waitress over and it was not crowded. She promptly informed us that it was her second day on the job. Yeah. So we ordered drinks... And waited and waited and... Waited. Finally arrived, along with a menu that had no prices. On top of all that our gas heater didn't work and it was cold. She never did return to even ask if we wanted to eat. And for that, I suppose that gratitude is on order!

“Drinks and Blues”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 December 2013

This was the perfect way to spend my last night in New Orleans. We took a tour and the driver said it is a local hangout but growing in popularity with tourists. I was there close to closing and caught the final set of some local talent. I had a drink called a Rum Buck and it was awesome. The courtyard is so relaxing! The band was awesome and the drinks were not watered down. I highly recommend visiting this local spot.
