We wanted to stay near the French Quarters but also wanted to be far enough away so the activity would not keep us awake into the early morning hours. The Drury Inn met this requirement. It was an easy 3 block walk to the French Quarters. We were with another couple and felt very safe walking after dark. The next morning we walked to several other tourist areas including Cafe Du Monde and Katrina Museum. Many good restaurants within walking distance, and there is a street car stop across the street . We were in a 2 bedroom suite (722) which quite roomy. The bathroom was large and had a jacuzzi. We didn't have much of a view but we didn't stay in the room that long so it wasn't a requirement for us. The breakfast and evening reception was the usual Drury style and quite adequate. Front desk staff was quite friendly. We found a good price through the Drury e-Saver site. There is a $17 per night fee for parking. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

We were very pleased with the Drury Inn & Suites and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. This was our first trip to New Orleans and we were happy to be located a short walk from the French Quarter as well as from many other sights in downtown New Orleans. The friendly staff recommended an excellent tour of New Orleans and were helpful in all respects. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the happy hour which helped to make our Halloween visit especially festive.

Nice and clean and good location just about 5 minutes safe walk from Bourbon Street. Safe neighborhood. Very comfortable beds.

Slightly better standard American motel kind of breakfast included in the price.

Good parking by the hotel (which you have to pay for). Easy to get to and from with the car.

3 complimentary drinks and snacks for about 2 hours every evening in the lobby.

Only minus is that there are no safety boxes in the rooms, only at the front desk.

We stayed at the Drury Inn and Suites for 8 nights in October. Arrived at the hotel at about 1.30 am after flight delays, despite the late hour check in went smoothly. We had a corner 2 room suite on 7th floor with a view of Poydras and Carandolet streets. The room was fine, bedroom was large, bathroon had full bath, there was a small fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine and a TV in both rooms. My daughter slept on the sofa bed which she said was comfortable although there wasn't much space in the room when it was pulled out. Breakfast was OK, enough to start the day and the evening kick back was an added bonus, especially the free drinks. Free soft drinks and popcorn were available from 3pm. Staff were friendly and very helpful. There was a small pool, hot tub and gym but I cannot comment on them as we didn't use them. Too much else to do. A great situation, a tram stop just across the street, a few minutes walk from Canal street and Bourbon street. Certainly would stay here again.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a street view room, the higher floors are better

We were originally booked at the more upscale Lowes but after discovering pet friendly Drury Inns, realized we could stay here, save money, and get free breakfast and drinks for 4 days!
What a beautiful hotel! Our suite is very comfortable and a surprise at only about $139 night.
I love the surface parking right out the front door, very secure. I don't care if they charge me for it (some posts say it is free, but posted at about $17 day), still half price from Lowes $34 for each night. The 5th floor rooms don't have high ceilings or windows, but the view is great nonetheless and the fully furnished suite is very comfortable and quiet. Great views from 503.
The entire property is clean and well maintained.

Room Tip: I believe one side of the bldg has no views. Ask if this is a concern for you.

The rooms are clean and close to the French Quarters which is nice, that being said, this place has issues and is way too expensive for what you get. I stayed there for just one night and when I arrived at my scheduled time my room was not ready and it required me to wait 40 minutes. As I was waiting the popcorn machine nearly caught on fire and required the fire department to arrive. This was good since the elevators had shutdown when the alarms went off and it locked the guests in the elevators. I finally got to my room and the sheets were stained but otherwise the room seemed clean. When I got my bill they didn't give me my AAA discount I got from reserving online. They did correct the problem when I spoke to the front desk.

At $140/night with my discount this place just isn't worth the cost. There were just too many issues and I was only there for 24 hours. I couldn't imagine what would happen over the course of a week!

We sincerely apologize that you had a concern during your stay at our hotel. We value your business and sincerely regret that the level of service was not what you expected and deserved.
We did recently have a mishap with the lobby popcorn machine – our guest service agents were assisting guests and weren’t able to attend the popcorn machine. The fire alarms were activated in the building and to ensure the safety of all or our guests, the fire department did respond and gave approval for the hotel to place the elevators back into service. No one was trapped in any of the 5 elevators in the building during any part of the alarm.
Your comments will help us address the issues you brought to our attention so we can improve our service.
We truly appreciate your business and hope you will give us additional opportunities to serve your lodging needs.

Stayed at the Drury Inn and Suites from 11/6-11/9.

We had a king room which was very comfortable. No view, but not a big deal as we were out for most of the day.

Hotel was a great value as there was a nice breakfast every morning and their "5:30 Kick-Back" every night- up to three free drinks per person between 5:30 and 7PM as well as hot dogs, chicken fingers, baked potatoes, mac & cheese, salad, etc. Actually enough for dinner if you wanted (we did on Sunday when were arrived as we were tired), otherwise really nice to have.

Hotel location was excellent- short walk down Caroldelet St. to Canal, and then onto Bourbon street in the French Quarter just on the other side of Canal- about 5-10 minute walk. Also easy walk down Poydras St. to Harrah's casino.

Hotel staff was very friendly as well- lot's of smiles. Also helpful in getting us a cab to Frenchman St. (as well as music venue recommendations) and to the airport when we checked out.

Overall, highly recommended for a stay in New Orleans.
