I am serious when I say this folks, you will not get a better value anywhere in New Orleans for your money. Wi Fi, hot breakfast, social hour, no charge for pets, and very affordable room rates makes this a can't miss establishment. I am from New Orleans and still have family there but my fiancee and I always stay at the Drury. The roof top pool is also very nice as well.

From the Front Desk, to housekeeping, to the bartender Lance, everyone at the hotel offered their help at every turn and was a pleasure to be around. Plus it is merely a couple of blocks to the French Quarter. The parking is a tad expensive but it is worth it due to the experiences of everything else.

A++++ to the GM and their staff.

We arrived around 4 on Nov 27th and headed right out the door to meet up for friends for dinner. Our friends were also staying at the hotel. The hotel was very full as the Bayou Bowl was Nov 28th. We returned in time for happy hour which was very nice. There is a soda fountain bar for those that don’t drink alcohol. The person running the bar can make most of the common drinks. Tips are gladly accepted and the drinks are worth a buck or two. There was popcorn and nachos. Can’t remember if there was anything else. After we ate we were off again and didn’t return until after 11. The bed was comfy. Breakfast in the morning was very nice. Large selection and it was hot. The parking area is small. We were going on a cruise (leaving that Saturday) and were afraid to take the luggage down and return as we were sure if we would have a space when we returned, so we asked the hotel to call a cab and the arrived quickly. Even though the cruise terminal isn’t that far away I would not attempt walking your luggage down. There is a service road that runs along the pier but you’re not supposed to walk in the area. People do – but it is very busy when the ship is in. It is worth the $7 each to take the cab. No resturant but our friends daughter wasn't feeling well (too much junk food) and the front desk had menus for all kinds of places that delivered. They were able to get won ton soup delviered. All in all a good night.

Out of everything I have researched, and called, this is the place to stay! You must call [--] and ask for the NOLA package. That comes with your hotel stay, your vehicle parked there for a week, happy hour in the evening, and a FULL breakfast. It's just dollars short of parking here, or at the port. Besides, the staff is super friendly, and
for $7.00 the taxi will take you right to the door at the port! Walking distance to the Museums. Check out the WII museum!

This was our first trip to NOLA for my 30th birthday and we chose the Drury based on a recommendation from a friend. We are so glad we did! What a great deal! Free breakfast, free drinks, free wiFi, free long distance (we're Canadian so we only got 15mins of free long distance/day but that was all we needed to call home once & check in!).

We arrived early on Thursday morning thinking we'd have to just leave our luggage with the front desk as check-in time isn't til 3pm. However, we were welcomed by the nicest lady ever (Jamie at the front desk! You have fans in Canada!) who ushered us straight to our comfortable, clean, quiet room. Our friends arrived a few hours later - they had a small issue with the bathroom in their room but were promptly moved with no grumbling from staff.

We took full advantage of Happy Hour every night before going out, usually bringing our drinks back up to our room (The Drury attracts a lot of Senior Citizens so we just went upstairs and left them to it rather than disturbing anybody).
The beds were SO comfortable I slept like the dead every single night and was actually disappointed when I had to leave and come home to my own bed!
The hotel location is about a 15 min walk from the french quarter but we walked back and forth at all hours and never had any issues or felt unsafe (quite the opposite in fact! I feel like New Orleans has an unjustified bad rep - we met some of the nicest people we have ever met in our lives in New Orleans!).
The staff were all very friendly, and once again Jamie at the front desk was wonderful and even gave us some tips on places to go and advice about taking public transit.
The only thing we were slightly disappointed with was that the pool was closed for maintenance during our stay. New Orleans was experiencing a crazy heat wave while we were there so it would have been nice to sit in the pool once or twice, but hey, that just gave us more time for exploring the amazing city!
We thank the Drury for making our first (but not the last!) trip to New Orleans a great stay and we will recommend it to everyone!

The Drury Inn and Suites is a delightful place to stay when visiting New Orleans. The price was affordable. The front desk staff, Jamie and Lance are wonderful. They both were very helpful. This is something I always look for when traveling. Construction was taking place during our stay, but we never heard any type of disturbance from our 5th floor room. We had a cozy room with a fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the nice warm shower and tub, large tv and big comfy chair. Our room overlooked Poydras Street and St. Charles Avenue. The Street car comes right by the Drury on a daily basis. The fee is very reasonable $1.25pp or a flat fee to ride all day. The Drury's location is in the Central Business District. We loved the quietness and safety in this area. Most everything was in walking distance. There is a local convenience store 1/2 block from the Hotel called Mom's Mini Mart. A Walgreen's and CVS store are 3 blocks away. We walked 5 blocks to the Superdome to see a Monday Night Football Game (Saints vs Falcons) and the Arena to see The Hornets vs Mavericks. The French Quarter is a 4 block walk or you could catch the Streetcar. The Harrah's Casino is also a 4-5 block walk. They have the best lunch/dinner buffet in the area. While in New Orleans be sure to take advantage of the various attractions: Mardi Gras World, Imax Theater, Aquarium and the Hurricane Katrina Tour, as well as sailing the Missippi River on the Steamboat Nanchez. The Drury Inn serves a nice complimentary breakfast and refreshments in the evenings. When we return to New Orleans in the future, The Drury will be our first choice. Delightful Hotel!
