Great food, cozy atmosphere. Really "sympa" feel at Café Nero/WhoDat. Like eating with friends. I like their catfish Po-boy on Fridays, and their Shrimp Remoulade. Tasty, fresh and local specialties-- Cajun and Creole. They have a note-worthy Ruben too. Try red beans and rice on Mondays. Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya every Thursday. It's all good!
And Craig is really a genius with the decor-- and with the menu and execution. Such a pleasure.

We drive by this coffee shop / restaurant regularly and have never stopped even though friends have suggested it - finally did the right thing! Great, creative sandwiches with a salad at a bargain price. We'll be back!

Wow, Cafe' Nero has become one of our most favorite places in the area. Amazing breakfast and lunch specialties! The best warmed turkey sandwich with melted bleu cheese and crispy bacon on sourdough bread!!! The chicken salad is the tastiest I've ever had. If they've got creole tomatoes, try one stuffed with the chicken salad, egg salad or tuna salad stuffed...And the jambalaya, is oh so wonderful...There are too many great options here to mention. You just have to try it...more than once :-)

Look for and "Like", Cafe' Nero on Facebook!!!

We ate at Cafe Nero on a Sunday afternoon. it was close to closing time, but the owner went out of his way to accomodate us. 2 of the people with is wanted egg salad. There was none made, but the owner cheerfully made some. I ordered chicken salad which also had to be made. I also have the chicken/sausage gumbo which was really good. My spouse had one of the featured items, The "Marigny", which was crab and whitefish on a slice of bread with salad. Everything was very good. I highly recommenc this place which is in the Marigny area, away from the crowds of the Quarter and in a nice neighborhood.
