The Hotel is massive. But every detail is covered. It is a beautiful hotel. The employees are friendly, courteius, helpful, and knowledgeable about the city. The rooms are large and comfortable. They were clean and fresh. The restaurant was really good. The cuisine was well thought out and delicious. Will stay here again and again.

Went there for a conference during Mardi Gras time. The building itself is very nice. I was on 24th floor, but was able to quickly move between conference and rooms multiple times per day. Breakfast was good for hotels in the US, but could have been better (bread dry, butter missing all but one day). There are several dining options in the hotel, but I didn't feel that they were that good, so you may want to walk outside and look for something better. One day I had a lot of work to do in my room, unfortunately there is no (filled) mini-bar and also the in-room dining didn't do it (food-wise). I think the hotel is ok, but leaves space for improvements. Not sure I would return.

Spacious room, I had a view of the Superdome, the room was very clean and orderly, and the staff was as friendly as could be. The hotel is huge!! No, really! It has three "restaurants", a gift shop, shoe shining services, and a Starbucks. I might be missing something but this place is wonderful. It's about a 1.5 mile distance from Bourbon St. I think it took us 30 minutes to walk there. I had no bad experiences while there.

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans for the NBA All-Star weekend and was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The location to the Superdome/Arena is fantastic, just a 2-3 minute walk. It is about a 10 minute walk to get to Burbon street- I suggest just taking a cab, it's only a couple of bucks. There is a Starbucks on the 2nd level and all of the restaurants within the hotel are actually very good and decently priced, there is even a 24 convenience store if you need a late night snack. The gym is located on the top floor and has amazing views of the city, some good equipment there as well.

As others have mentioned the layout of the hotel is a bit confusing, but that didn't bother me too much- I've stayed in much worse. The thing I really loved about this hotel however is the fact it is so modern and up to date with technology. The elevators use a touch-pad and tells you exactly which elevator to step into that will take you directly to your floor, very convenient and efficient(tip: if you swipe your room card it recognizes which floor to take you to rather than hitting the buttons). In the rooms, the television is hooked up to the internet and you can even order room service right from your remote. The rooms themselves are quite big with lots of cabinet space and large windows letting in lots of light.

Overall I really enjoyed my 5-night stay at this hotel. Even amidst all of the chaos of All-Star weekend, this hotel never skipped a beat with its service and quality. From now on, this is the hotel I'll be staying in when visiting New Orleans.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main atrium- the northern building is older/not as nice. Higher floors of course have the better views of Downtown and the Superdome.

We stayed at the Hyatt for Endymion Ball and are so glad we did. Super convenient walking distance to Superdome. Gorgeous hotel with fantastic staff. Clean and perfect for a getaway Mardi Gras weekend in NOLA. Great view of river and the dome. Worth the expense.
