I love the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans. It is convenient when visiting New Orleans for sporting events as the Superdome and Smoothie King Center are both walking distance from the hotel. Because its near the CBD and not in the French Quarter you may feel the need to take a cab when leaving the hotel at night. The rooms are a decent size and there are seem decent dining options for lunch and dinner at the hotel, but I think the options could be a little better for breakfast.
Parking is expensive. For those traveling to New Orleans via air travel just take a cab or shuttle to the airport. Those driving in will have to suck it up at pay the heavy parking fee in an adjacent lot or even worse: $30+ per night in the adjoining garage.More
