What can I say that hasn't already been said in all the previous reviews. This is an excellent B & B and a good value. I was in New Orleans in April for a legal seminar, and travelled with both my wife and my mom. The B & B is a well-restored, three-story Victorian home in Mid-City New Orleans, just off of Canal Street. Although it is a "luxury" lodging, the atmosphere is casual and laid-back. The room was spacious, clean, and without any problems. Breakfasts were great and portions were good-sized. The owner and staff were professional, polite and a font of knowledge about the city. We called ahead about an hour before we arrived, and someone was there waiting for us on the front porch for check-in. Although I drove on some days, it is not necessary to drive since the B & B is just half a block away from the Canal Street streetcar line to the French Quarter. The place is also within walking distance of a couple of great Italian neighborhood restaurants, as well as an amazing Italian bakery and ice cream shop. I brought along a laptop with wireless internet for business and was able to use it with no problems. There was complimentary wine, coffee, tea, sodas, and snacks. This place is also a great value. Before booking a room, I researched many B & Bs in New Orleans. Not only was this one less expensive than most, it did not have any inconvenient reservation policies, such as minimum stays. They did not even require us to post a deposit in order to book the room. The only things I can think of that may annoy some people: Parking was a bit of a hassle, but that is true of almost any place in New Orleans. There are no "extra" amenities such as a pool or hot tub. Then again, you are in New Orleans, why would you want to waste time in a hot tub? Also, I am a runner and there was no exercise room. If the weather is bad, you are out of luck. However, the B & B is just a few minutes' jog from City Park, Esplanade Avenue, and Bayou St. John -- all of which are beautiful places to run. Overall, a wonderful place, a great value, and by far the best place I have stayed in New Orleans. I will be back.

First off, if you want to stay in the French Quarter, look elsewhere. If you want to stay a short streetcar ride away from the noise and chaos, then this is a great choice!

The house and rooms are beautiful, but unpretentious. The free beer/wine/snacks are a great treat. Wi-Fi is important, too. But the key to Larry's success is how easy he makes it to stay in and enjoy New Orleans. His house is great for long-time visitors and newbies alike.

I had never been to New Orleans before, and Larry offered great personal advice about what to see and do, and he has dozens of guidebooks, brochures, menus and a free Internet terminal all ready for anyone still needing to do some research. Easy on-street parking is a blessing. The streetcar is so close that you may not need your car until you leave, anyway. There are also good restaurants in the neighborhood in case you don't want to head back downtown in the evening, and I felt safe walking in the immediate area of the house.

Knowing there's a great place to stay like this will make me much more likely to go back to New Orleans sooner rather than later.

We stayed at the B&B for a few days before Christmas and had the best the time ever. It was our first time staying in a B&B and we would consider staying again. The house was beautiful and the rooms looked like a page out of a magazine. Breakfasts were always hot and delicious! Larry made us feel right at home and let us play with Cody whenever we wanted.

We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back.

We found O'Malley House to be the perfect place to stay in New Orleans. The house and furnishings capture a different era in a town that is unique. The owners and staff go out of their way to provide a great experience and provide happy memories. Our stay was only a few days, next time it will be much longer.

My husband & I stayed here because of Trip Advisor ratings and we are so glad we did. This B&B was just what we needed so we could enjoy New Orleans. Larry was a wealth of information and took the time to talk to us and helped us relax in a different type of town than what we were use to. We enjoyed the marvelous breakfast, snacks and drinks that were provided. It was just like being home and the guest we spoke to all felt the same way. Cody the dog was adorable. Internet was right there for us to use at any time to look up tours etc. We took the street car most of the time to downtown which was right next to our B&B. Our room was so luxurious and decorated right from a magazine as were all the rooms which we could tour when empty. I would stay here everytime I went to New Orleans because of the personal service that was always availble whenever we needed it. My advice Try it you'll like it!

Very convenient to the French Quarter and the Business District with the street car down Canal. Easy street parking. Spacious beautifully appointed room. Perfect for our family of four. Great service and conversation. Loved the complimentary drinks and snacks. Sitting on the front porch was a great way to unwind after a busy day. The neighborhood is off the beaten path - but with much to offer.

What an amazing B&B!!! The owner, Larry, couldn't have been more charming, personable, and knowledgeable. We really could have stayed longer!!!

The B&B is not in walking distance to the French Quarter, but the trolley is right across the street. It can be unreliable at times (there is no trolley schedule), but it is a cheap way to downtown ($1.25).

If given the opportunity, we most certainly will go back.
