After spending time in New Orleans for a business meeting; I thought I needed to address a few things about this hotel. First the rooms are very large which is great but at least in my room the room needs new furniture and new carpet. Secondly, as it is always busy in New Orleans the hotel seemed under staffed. In fact asked one of the front desk employees which floor my specific meeting was to be held and the employee did not know or least was not versed on who or which groups were coming to the hotel.

With a few changes the hotel can be a great property. By the way it is very close to the convention center.

Room Tip: Stay on a high floor away from the noise

Great, unique property located minutes away from Canal Street and all the fun

PRO's
- Hotel is large, but not too large
- Rooms are huge!
- The staff is awesome like always
- Right across the street from Harrah's without the smoke
- 10 Min walk from Canal Street/famous landmarks
- Food and beverage is actually decently priced
- Quiet hotel with great city views!

CON's
- On the older side, hotel is tired
- it is a walk from the party area, but there are pedi-cabs and cabs to take you back - this actually is pretty quiet then being away from all that

Thank you team for a great stay!

Room Tip: High Floor will give great city views

We wanted to be close to the French Quarter but preferred to stay in a full service hotel where we thought we. Isn't be better able to control for noise and quality of accommodations. The Loews fit the bill: huge room, giant bath, high floor, clean and comfortable bedding. It is centrally located and we walked easily to the galleries and WWII museum as well as the other direction, to the French Quarter. I'd definitely stay here on antihero NOLA visit.

This hotel has one of the best locations in NOLA. Close but NOT in the French Quarter, please I like my sleep. Also close to the Casino and new hip restaurants downtown! Their own bar is great place to get a good drink!

Their rooms are really a good size here.

I really did enjoy my stay at the LOEWS Hotel in New Orleans. However, I was very disappointed that this location did not have any outdoors area to sit by a pool and to be able to read a book. Looking out our window, I could see 3 pools on the roof tops of other hotels. Had I looked into this, I would have booked one of those locations. The indoor lap pool area is nice for the winter, but spring and summer are meant for outdoors. The hotel has an area adjacent to the property that would make an excellent outdoors area. It already appears to be a sitting area. Putting in a fence and pool would make this the best hotel in New Orleans. Everything else was perfect. The conference area, dining room, and all the staff were super helpful and made our stay very pleasant.

Room Tip: Take a room on the North side, Nice view of the river, French Quarter and many other areas!

The whole team was staying at the Loews during a conference in the nearby convention center, as it is only like a ten minute walk away. Reception was pretty fast on check in. Staff in general is super friendly - so no complains there. If one likes the style or not is a matter of taste. To me the interior seemed somewhat old fashioned. Rooms are all of a nice size and have either a kingsize ir two queensize beds, an easy chair and a desk. Huge closet with ironing board and safe are also there. The bathroom has an okay size. Unfortunately (but pretty much standard in the US) the shower was in the tub and the whole thing with a curtain. Room and bathroom were spotless. Some things that did bother me. A/C regulation was difficult. In one corner of the room (next to the armchair) was kind of a service pannel from which you heard a hissing sound at all times. That was irritating at times. Waterpressure in the shower was changing when somebody in the neighborhood used the toilet. But what was definitely a backdraft was the musty smell of old socks I had in my room. Could smell it in my colleagues rooms as well and would guess that it is coming from the A/C. The last morning a colleague and me had breakfast in the Cafe Adelaide (in the hotel). We were at first not in a hurry and told the waitress so. That resulted in a waiting time of around 40 minutes for some pancakes and a power breakfast with eggs, hash, bacon and toast. Guess she simply forgot us as others who came later were served earlier. She then said that every body was so much in a hurry this morning...but that is hardly an excuse. And when we finally got our order, my food was nearly cold. And it cost around 14 bucks.
In general I would also say that the prices they are charging are too high for what you get. On the plus side are definitely the location (10 min to convention center, 10 min to Burboun St if one wants to go there and a lot of nice cafes, bars and restaurants around)
