“Great find in the Big Easy”

This place is a total gem. It's a little off the beaten path, but a quick cab ride to all the main sites. The owner is super helpful with suggestions on restaurants and things to do, and he made the most fabulous breakfasts. He was very accommodating, and all the amenities were impeccable. Each room comes with a story!

This is our second stay at the 5 Continents and it will not be our last. Jess, the owner operator of this charming B and B is incredibly accommodating and a wealth of information about the city. He will let you know where to get the best bloody Mary to the most scrumptious fried chicken. He's never steered us wrong. As soon as you arrive he greets you with a cold beer or glass of wine. He'll then provide you with a map of the city and notes on places to eat or of special interest. The best part is that each room has a mini fridge that is restocked each day with water, juice and soft drink of choice. Jess knows about my unhealthy addiction to Diet Coke and made sure I never ran low. It's details such as these that set the 5 Continents apart from the big chain hotels. Let's not forget about the daily gourmet breakfast served in the formal dining room. Jess prepares these amazing dishes for his guests. My personal favorite being the Shrimp Eggs Benedict with a delicious hollandaise sauce served on top of fresh croissants. Drooling just thinking of it. As for the rooms, Jess has done a fantastic job decorating and creating a luxurious environment with out the lux fees. We have stayed in the European Euroasian suites and enjoyed our stays in both rooms. The best part is that the hotel is located close enough to walk to the French Quarter without being in the middle of all the noise. It's nice place to escape to after too much of a good time and in desperate need of some rest. Do yourself a favor and stay here when visiting NOLA if you want to get a true New Orleans experience.

We just got back from New Orleans (our first time) and the 5 Continents, it was awesome. Jess is a wonderful host - the rooms were clean, the food was fantastic and Jess really goes above and beyond to ensure your stay in New Orleans is special by providing advice and tips on the city.

The location is close to the French Quarter - we walked it every day and the cabs to and from are reasonable too.

I will stay here again next time I go to New Orleans and I have already recommended it to everyone I talk to!!!

Thanks Jess for the hospitality!!

This lovely house is positioned on a quiet road within easy reach of the river, the French Quarter, tourist attractions and good restaurants. Breakfast is outstanding and the owner is so knowledgable and helpful in advising on everything to make your stay in New Orleans perfect for you. Being able to leave our car safely behind gates for free as we didn't need to use it, was an added bonus. We had a most enjoyable two day stay.

This is a beautiful place and a value. Breakfasts were excellent, and the proprietor, Jess, was very helpful and knowledgable. The location is good but if you like to walk or have a car, but it is not central. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for an incredible B&B experience in New Orleans, stay at the Five Continents. You will be treated to exceptional service by the owner, Jess. He is truly the best Innkeeper we have ever met -- gracious and generous with his guests. He made us feel welcome in his beautiful home yet gave us the privacy we wanted on our visit to New Orleans. His breakfasts are fabulous -- and served at the time we selected. Jess also gave us great advice (make sure you try Cafe Degas!) and made our short weekend visit to New Orleans a highlight of our year. We will be back to stay at Five Continents again!

Everything I have to say has already been said by previous guests, but I'll reiterate the property is beautiful and conveniently situated, Jess is a fantastic host, the rooms comfortable and spacious, the food spectacular, the price extremely reasonable (quoted prices include all taxes and fees and refrigerator stocked with free non-alcoholic beverages). The off-street secure parking is a bonus.

Our stay couldn't have been better.
