The room was great, large and well lay out.the food was wonderful. It was a little longer walk to the convention center than I thought. About 4-5 blocks up and 4 blocks over. The only thing which would have made it a perfect place to stay was the check-in staff. They didn't seem to care about how long they took to answer questions or check us in. It's a shame that the check-in people set the tone from the beginning to end. Make sure if you're needing a pull out sofa bed you're assigned a room with one in it.

Lots of unexpected extras here. The room was very large, with a full kitchen. There was a hot breakfast buffet every morning. Most afternoons of my stay, there was a social hour with free food and drinks (beer and wine.) The bed was comfortable, noise was not an issue, and the location is fantastic because you can easily walk almost everywhere. The best part of this hotel, in my opinion, is the service. Everyone was friendly and gracious, even when I broke a glass in my room. The room rate was very, very competitive, especially with all these little something extras. You should note that there is light housekeeping on weekdays and none on weekends, which was fine with me. I was here for a conference, and my friends who stayed at another hotel for almost double the price were very envious of my room and all the perks. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I was on he 15th floor and it was very quiet.

Stayed here for three nights during a convention. Easy 10 minute walk to convention center, just a few more minutes in the other direction to the quarter. Nice hotel - comfortable bed, decent breakfast selection, happy hour/reception was a nice unexpected surprise. Staff was very friendly and check-in was quick. There is a cab stand just down the street, so getting a cab was no problem. I didn't have the need to use the kitchen but I can see where it would be nice to have in an extended stay situation.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights prior to a cruise. We did enjoy staying here and would stay again. Rooms were very nice. Beds were very comfortable and we had a great view of the street. They also had a very good breakfast buffet that came with the stay. Very friendly staff.

I have no real problems with this hotel. The main draw is the location. It is right across the street from Mother's Restaurant, a favorite of ours. It is within walking distance of Harrah's Casino. The French Quarter is about 3 blocks up the street and we walked there several times because the parking is expensive and street parking in almost non-existent. Try using the street cars. It's cheap $1.25 for one trip, $3 a day pass and the conductor will sell you the pass.
Back to the hotel: The rooms were nice and housekeeping was excellent. There was a free breakfast every morning that consisted of scrambled eggs, either round/link sausage, fruit and waffle maker. Plenty of juices, etc.
The evening hospitality time consisted of free wine and 2 kinds of draft beer, which they ran out of the beer quickly and wouldn't replenish it! They served hamburgers the first night and hot dogs the second. Not too bad, especially if you have kids.
The free wi-fi was sketchy at best. Several people complained. There were a lot of business people there and they couldn't get on. During the day, when they were at their meetings, I could get on fine. Front desk acted like they weren't aware of any problem.
Checked out in the morning and there was only one clerk on duty and we had to wait about 20 minutes in line to get checked out. There were usually 2 people most of the time so I don't know if someone was missing but we were anxious to be on our way so having 1 person there was very annoying. I'm glad I didn't have a cab waiting or a flight to catch.

Great location, facility, and staff. Surprised with mid week basic dinner (hot dog-hmbrger, tacos plus bev-beer,wine). Excellent breakfast. Our suite was huge. Bed comfortable, but had cavities. Room very large and well had everything. Parking secure and expensive (no other options in downtown area). Safe location-have to be careful in NOLA.

When we arrived for our first night, there were a few issues with our room. The staff, however, was very helpful & moved us to another room the next day that accommodated our family of five. For the whole week, all staff were friendly & courteous. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning & dinner & drinks Tuesday-Thursday. The Staybridge was conveniently located just outside of the French Quarter & within walking distance of many attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans!
