Just up Decatur street from Cafe Du Monde , aunt Sally's will capture your eye as you pass and see the lady stirring the boiling pot and the machine dropping the pralines one at a time for packaging ! You have to watch ! Then you are drawn in the store (but we had to come back a second day as they didn't open til 10 am but the lady was working in the window already!) . It is a nice shop with gifts and of course their pralines & products , which we thought were $$$$$ high - as we get pralines every where in Texas from custom shops, to grocery stores and every Mexican restaurant at 1/2 the price - but my wife had to have aunt Sally's ! The clerk was extra friendly so it made me feel better & added one of the log rolls! Well the log roll was excellent - better than any we had ever had ! However , both types of pralines were just OK& not a bargain at all. Yet for the fun we had watching the process & the hospitality extended to us - we would stop by again . Even if we bought a different item in the shop! Stop & see for yourself!
