My friend who lives in New Orleans recommended this place, saying she ordered quiche, and it came with a baguette and salad that was enough for her and her boyfriend. I ordered the quiche, but that's all I received, and it wasn't even heated. It was also mostly dough. The girl was very nice and heated it, and the coffee was the best I've had in New Orleans. It has a cute French atmosphere, and the upstairs room and terrace that overlooks the park is really nice. My friend who is vegan couldn't eat any of the food here, but he ordered coffee and took it down the street. He agreed that the coffee is excellent.

We had an excellent Onion Soup combo with Salad and Baguette. The Onion Soup is a must. You can eat there like we did or order take out. Excellent choice of food. Service was fast and courteous. Prices are very reasonable. Too bad we found that place the last night of our stay. It is only a couple of hundred feet from the Best Western Plus Hotel on N. Rampart St. We would return.

We stumbled upon Mister Gregory's while arriving early for a walking tour of Treme just down the street. We tried to order a hot croque boeuf debris sandwich and cold roast potato salad but were told they were out of those (or didn't make any because it was just before noon). We ended up both getting the classic turkey hot croque which was really delicious and tender. Of course we had to try the 1/2 baguette with french butter. This was amazing. The fellow working there came by and chatted with us, asked where were from and told us more about the place, where they get the baguettes, and also apologizing again for not having the menu items we really wanted.

Some of the baked good looked fabulous but I was just too full on bread by this point to try any.

I'd recommend this place for a simple nice lunch. My only complaint was the $2.50 for a glass of ice tea - I drank 3 of them!

Mister Gregory's is new and I super recommend it! The place is bright, airy, clean and cute. I thought the food was really terrific. What a wonderful change! I love French food (would rather be eating in Paris, but.. can't afford the trip). Mr. Gregory's was perfect. As soon as I walked in, I decided I HAD to have one of the wonderful looking French pasteries that were sitting under dome on the front counter. So, I picked the soup combo so that I could kid myself that the meal including dessert wouldn't have TOO many calories. The soup was freshly made and savory! The salad had one of the best salad dressings I've had in a long time (I have to come back and just have salad!). It came with sliced apples, brie (yum!), and sliced baguette. A real bargain for $7.50. A lady standing in line suggested that I try the Pain Perdu for my dessert. I had never heard of it. It was like a French Toast pudding muffin. Of course I picked the chocolate one. Really, really yummy. I'll be back to this place.
