Three of us, visiting New Orleans from Ohio, attended the cooking class at Langlois. The facilities are very nice -- new, clean, modern. The room just sparkles.
The personality of the owner and other teachers sparkle as well. The enthusiasm and the knowledge of the presenters is really outstanding.
We were asked to help out with the cooking, only if we wanted. I personally enjoyed sipping my champagne and watching. After the cooking demonstration, enough was made so that we all (15 in the class) could eat or have an ample, satisfying taste.
We left with our tummies full and a packet full of recipes and pointers to take home. If you want to learn the difference between Cajun and Creole cooking and how to prepare at home a few delicious dishes, you'll really enjoy this class.
