“Great value and service”
Reviewed 3 September 2012

This is not a five star hotel but it is definitely a five star value. The decor of the building is very nice. Rooms were small but clean. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. Tanya (i think that was her name) the concierge was amazing. She came in Friday morning despite the recent hurricane and couldn't have been more helpful. She had great enthusiasm and her appreciation for visitors to her city was evident. Everytime she saw us she checked in to see how we were doing and how the tours were. She was better than concierges I've encountered at high end hotels

The location is good and easy walking distance to all of the attractions in the French Quarter. New Orleans has a lot of amazing places for breakfast/brunch but if you're looking to save some money they have an adequate free breakfast. The pool isn't much to speak of and only has a couple hours of direct sunlight. If you're looking to tan this isn't your pool. If you just want a quick dip to cool off then it is fine

Honestly when you're in New Orleans you really shouldn't be spending much time in your hotel room except to sleep. With that in mind I highly recommend this hotel. We are coming back next year and will most likely stay here again

Room Tip: We were first floor facing the pool which next time I will avoid due to noise from kids in the pool...

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to our cruise. I picked it for proximity to the cruise terminal and other sites. right from check-inn to check-out, we were treated very wll (even received a nice room upgrade). The location was fantastic and a short walk to the French Quarter.
The building itself is in converted warehouses and was beautiful. All staff were friendly, helpful , and really enhanced our stay. I would definitely stay again when in New Orleans.

We were in NOLA for a week long vacation when Isaac hit. Unable to get out we decided to stay at our previously booked room in the Garden district. After three days without power in the Garden district we decided to take our chance and see if the Country Inn had rooms available. They sure did and were glad to have us there.

The rooms were very clean as well as the entire building from what we could see. The staff was very friendly and helpful even though most of them were also without power and were staying at the hotel as well.

The breakfast that is offered is very plentiful and always hot and fresh. The staff keep the food court and breakfast rooms very clean and always well stocked.

I would definately stay here again. It is in a perfect location to the French Quarter with only a couple of blocks to walk to reach anything you could imagine

The Value of this hotel is unbelievable. You would think a beautiful vintage building with such a lovely entrance would be expensive. NOPE!! it was cheaper than most places and certainly cleaner and friendlier. Book this Hotel you won't regret it.

Thank You

It's so wonderful to hear that we were your sanctuary during Hurrican Isaac. It was an exciting time for everyone and I am so pleased our staff kept you smiling and comforable during the storm. We hope to see you again soon, during sunny weather of course!

My partner and I were originally booked for August 25-29, but stayed until the 31st due to the Hurricane. The rate that I got was unreal and of better quality than hotels I've stayed at for double the price. The building is absolutely gorgeous with a rustic and vintage feel, unlike those other concrete eye sores of hotels that litter this historic area. The free breakfast buffet was delicious and varied from day to day from french toast, breakfast meats, to delicious fritatas and much much more.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and beyond attentive. And let's not forget location, location, location. Though not technically in the French Quarter (as the taxi drivers will point out) its a block and a half walk to the french quarter and a five minute walk to Bourbon street. A less than 20 minute trolley ride to the Garden District and a less than 15 minute cab ride to Frenchmen street. Close enough to party, but far enough to get a quiet night sleep.
We can't wait for our next trip and, as long as we get a great deal again, we plan to come back.

Fantastic value for money. All staff from maintainance to reception, especially the ladies in the breakfast room & the bar tender kept us going through the hurricane curfew with their excellent service, curious manner & non-stop smiles! Concierge Dianne was the best, very helpful when booking trips, housekeeping was second to non and the location was perfect - cant wait to stay again - just not in hurricane season guys :0)

Our first night was not so good as there was a movie being filmed nearby and a generator was running outside our bedroom window all night. Moved to an inner room next day which was wonderful.
Breakfast is provided but the room is small and pretty chaotic.
Great location with short walk to Burbon Street etc.

We had a short one night stay with the family while traveling thru NO. Picked this hotel based on reviews and was not disappointed. Great location - able to walk to Quarter with kids and had plenty of restaurants and sights in the area. Liked that it was close but out of the really noisy traffic. Wonderful old buildings and the room was perfect. We had a suite that was on the top floor of the main warehouse bldg. A little noisy in the morning as we were 5 floors above the breakfast room, but not bad at all. Free breakfast was a bonus - very well done. Staff was exceptionally friendly and even stopped to tell me about the original buildings when they noticed I was looking at the architecture and pictures. Great stay and will definitely return for another trip.
