If you are a Rock and roller this is a great bar for good live bands and a change of pace from the great jazz. We intended just calling in for a drink, but the band was so good we spent two hours there and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We always seem to end up here! I can honestly say we've never heard a bad band nor had a bad time. The drinks are kinda pricey but it's a great time! Definitely our favorite NOLA spot.

Stopped in the Famous Door mid-afternoon for some cocktails, two for one, and some classic rock. The drinks were cold, and the band (don't recall their name) ably handled many different song requests and had the people feeling good. Just a very nice fun atmosphere, and lots of cool people, local and visitors, hanging out. We'll be stopping back, for sure, during our stay!

My wife and I love music and dancing. We were walking down the French Quarter and saw this spot. The music was blasting in the French Quarter.

The band was gone. The place was crowded. We were left with DJ music; folks were all over the dance floor. There was lots of energy. There was no cover charge!!! I often ask why pay when there is so much good music in NOLA for free.

However, if you are drinking (a lot), it is not a good idea for you to serve as the MC. Some folks didn't mind. However, others might find the guy pretty...annoying. Yet, drinking appears to be a part of the expectations going into the NOLa nightlife. The positive was that we didn't see anyone smoking inside the facility.

But, the place certaining was a good place to dance in the French Quarter.
