“Much needed weekend away....”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

My husband and I went to New Orleans for a much needed couples getaway weekend in March and were very happy with these accommodations. First of all, we did not get in until almost 10 p.m., were in contact with David the entire time; he stayed up, met us, and showed around before retiring for the evening. We were in the loft suite, which was great. We enjoyed the breakfast and company during breakfast; the information left in the suite as well David's willingness to answer all of our questions, was very helpful in finding places to eat. The B&B is in a great location for walking as well. Our experience was great (along with the weather), and we'd definitely stay here again (and hopefully get to meet Schuyler next time :-)). Thanks again, guys!

We stayed at Chez Palmiers for 2 nights. We were immediately put at ease by our hosts Schuyler and David, who not only graciously welcomed us to their home but also had a great list of restaurants that we should check out! The backyard is gorgeous and we loved having our breakfast out there every morning. The house is very well taken care of, and close to the French Quarter. However, it's on a quiet street and it was SILENT at night. We loved it!

We found this bed and breakfast online through nolabandb, and were excited to get the loft room. From the moment we arrived in New Orleans, Schuyler and Dave were great hosts; very welcoming, and explained all we could expect staying at Chez Palmiers. They have made up a great list of area restaurants with directions and descriptions for guests to use at their leisure. The room itself was clean, very spacious, and well stocked with pillows, linens, towels and so forth. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. We had our fill each morning with the big breakfast spread including cereals, croissants, toast, bagels, yogourts and juices.

We never had any issues coming and going from the b and b during the day or night. We occasionally had some problems connecting to the home's wifi but it would always eventually come back on for us. Overall an excellent stay!

Room Tip: The Loft Room was the biggest option, we'd recommend that over the others.

I've never written on the site before but I did have such a great time in New Orleans and Chez Palmiers I felt compelled. It's in a great location - a quick walk to the French Quarter or Faubourg Marigny and Frenchmen's Street. We stayed in a spacious room which had a queen size bed as well as a kitchenette and a sitting room with TV and had a lovely breakfast every morning. We didn't make use of the pool but it was a nice additional feature. If I'm ever in New Orleans again I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great place!

We found this B&B through internet and from the moment we arrived we felt at home and at ease. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. Schuyler and David were wonderful hosts. They provided us with a lot of information and tips to find our way through New Orleans. We immediately fell in love with the city and promised to come back again. For sure we will stay here, safe, quiet, clean and cosy. Thank you Schuyler and David!

We had a wonderful time at Chez Palmiers. Chez Palmiers is the real deal, located on the edge of the French Quarter. Away from the maddening crowd. Homey, comfortable and no pretentions. It was like being at home away from home. Schuyler was a wonderful host, genuinely interested in us, and always helpful with suggestions on what was happening in the New Orleans area. We were so comfortable there that we stayed an extra night, five in total and got to meet David as well. The parades were so much fun!! We had a blast!!

Schuyler and David are great hosts: friendly, informative with regards to eating establishments and sights to see, the history of the area. We stayed in the Grande Suite which has a bedroom, sitting room and private bathroom which was great for us. The location is within walking distance to the French Quarter and short driving distance to many good restaurants.
We had been told parking was an issue and costly in New Orleans but we always found parking directly in front of the B and B.
