Our tour guide James was brilliant at explaining the locale historical information of the Garden District and Layette Cemetery. Incredibly personable and charismatic speaker! Well worth the two hours on your trip!

“French Quarter Walking Tour - Excellent”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

During our recent visit we took the French Quarter Walking Tour, which started at the Musical Legends Park. The guide was very professional and had an excellent knowledge of the area. The tour lasted about 2 hours and is well worth the cost. Highly recommended.

“An local's point of view - A GREAT tour!”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

We recently went on the voodoo cemetery tour. Our tour guide was Milton, he was excellent! Milton grew up in New Orleans and was very knowledgeable. He gave us many extra tidbits of information which outsiders and short term nola residents would not have known. He took us to the St. Jude Shrine on the side of the "Our Lady of Guadalupe" chapel. Next we went to St. Louis cemetery no 1 and saw the voodoo queen, Marie Laveau's grave, among others. Milton knew so much about it all and I loved how he could give a local's point of view, describing how he grew up in various societies of Nola. We also visited congo square. We didn't go into the voodoo temple, but he pointed it out , so if we wanted to at the end we could go on our own. I did check it out, and to be honest I can see why we didn't go in as a group, it was small and not as expected. I would definitely suggest the cemetery tour and any of Milton's tours. He is a true local and a very nice person!

“Rebirth Van tour - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

on a weekend trip to NOLA I ended up doing the Katrina Rebirth van tour. I can't recommend it enough.

For a short trip and being new to the city, the tour talked about the history of the city and went to all the sights that you'd want to see. Additionally, there was much focus on the recent history w/ hurricane katrina, and it was extremely interesting to go to the lower ninth ward and see the devastation and rebirth.

Also - i can't say enough good about our guide Milton. he was a longtime NOLA resident who rode out Katrina, and his knowledge of the city, as well ability to provide a local context (and weave personal stories) to the sights was immeasurable. he was really cool, and great story teller, and really had that NOLA spirit and hospitality. he made the tour

“the guides really do know New Orleans!”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

I went to NOLA for the first time. I wanted to learn about some of its rich history. I did two tours back to back. The first tour was given by our guide named Gwen. She was awesome and very funny!! We learned about the the history of the French Quarter and all its architecuture. The second tour was the cemetary tour given by our guide named Milton. He was really good at explaining the unique style of NOLA cemetaries and gave us some Creole history. Both tour guides could answer all questions and they were personable too. I will reccommend this tour company to family and friends! Thank you!! :-)
