We recently spent 2 nights at this hotel and found it to be a decent place to stay. I thought our room was a bit small-ish and awkward... there were 2 chairs by the window that were perfectly useless because the bed was only about 4 inches from them. The courtyard is small but very pretty - a nice place for coffee in the morning. The staff was friendly, especially the young woman from Australia that we chatted with one evening.

Thank you for all of your feedback regarding your stay in New Orleans. The Bienville House is a historic property, and with that comes a unique floor plan with varying room sizes. We have tried our best to preserve the history of the building while still providing guests with a comfortable space to stay while visiting New Orleans. We really appreciate your comments and we hope you stay with us once more during your next visit to New Orleans!

It’s always a pleasure tob e there.
The staff let’s you feel like being a part of their family.
We first came as Guest and now return as friends.
This year been my 5th time there during Mardi Gras and it’s still amazing.
When we arrive Miss Cynthia always welcomes us with a big hug coming straight from her heart.
She always introduces us to new staff members and tell them to take care for us (during Mardi Gras some members of our group sometimes need this Care Package *lol*).
What else to say to the Hotel….great place…perfect located to visit both, French Quarte ras well as Warehouse district.
Close to Canal, to the River, to Bourbon-Street and far enough not to have the trouble oft he really crowded places.
Hope I can return there many more times.
Greets from Switzerland

PS: If I rate "How clean is the Hotel" only with a 4 it's 'cause during Mardi-Gras everything is other than the rest of the year in NOLA...so pretty sure it's worthy a 5 when not MG-Time ;)

Charming hotel in perfect location. We wanted to stay in the French Quarter but not in the heart of all the noise. This was perfect! Within walking distance of everything but not noisy. Staff was helpful and very pleasant. Rooms were clean and beautiful. Would recommend!

Beautiful hotel, great staff and perfect location! We stayed in a double balcony room with an incredible view of the landscaped courtyard and pool. Staff is 5star! For a historic hotel; this exceeded my expectations. Perfect boutique hotel that provides an oasis experience. Truly not a single negative.

Thank you Ms Cynthia for a memorable trip! From the moment we arrived, Ms Cynthia greeted us and made us feel at home. She offered advice on things to do and places to eat. Super sweet and lovely woman! The hotel is clean, charming, comfortable and much more! The location is central so you are able to walk to the french quarter, canal street, bourbon street, the steam boats, the casino, and much more. The entire staff was charming and sweet. Wish we could remember each of their names so we could compliment them as well. Loved the room and the A/C was perfect, you don't have to mess with thermostats that reset when you leave the room. We were able to cool our room down in the evenings just as we like it. Love the Bienville and will definitely return. Thank you for a memorable 20th anniversary weekend getaway!

Room Tip: Central location, be sure to explore in all directions!

We just got back from a trip to New Orleans for our anniversary. Bienville House is a beautiful, quaint hotel with comfortable, well decorated rooms. We had a cute king room with a balcony overlooking the salt water pool and courtyard that was so pretty and peaceful. The location is perfect for exploring the city while having a 'retreat' to return to. It is walking distance from Bourbon Street, Canal Street, Cafe du Monde, and the river. It is also very easy to jump on the trolley to explore the rest of the city. The staff at the hotel was accommodating. Breakfast was continental with juices, coffee, tea and, pastries with the nicest breakfast staff! I highly recommend this beautiful historical location.

Room Tip: Romantic room, choose courtyard view. People watchers, choose street side.

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. From the minute we checked in the staff was wonderful, friendly, attentive, helpful. Breakfast in the morning is definately a nice touch with many options for a continental breakfast. Pool/courtyard is smaller than you would think by looking at the photos but has a nice homey feel and we enjoyed overlooking it from our balcony and we also liked how you can use it at night as well. The hotel is a great location where you can walk to anywhere. No need for a car in this city plus parking is difficult and expensive everywhere so just opt out of one and walk everywhere. I would definately recommend and would stay there again

Room Tip: get a balcony courtyard room
