“My New Favorite Hotel in The French Quarter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2013

My husband and I went to New Orleans for a long weekend in February and got a great rate at the Bourbon Orleans. We arrived at 10:30 am on a Thursday morning and were greeted immediately and directed to the front desk to check in. Our room was ready and we were checked in, unpacked and ready to explore by 11:15AM. If our room had not been ready (which at 11 am would often be the case), there is a secured location they will hold luggage.
Back later we realized that neither of us remembered toothpaste and a call to the front desk and we were able to pick up a travel tube complimentary.

The room was courtyard view and although smaller than some it was a good size for two people. The room was clean, linens and towels did not look old or frayed. Bathroom was a little small ,the counter was large enough for a bag of toiletries but not much more room if you had a lot of items. . The closet was large enough to store a suitcase with plenty of room for clothes. There was no fridge in our room although it looked like there may have been at one time. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable and we had no trouble falling asleep. As I said we were courtyard side and there was no outside noise.

The courtyard has an outdoor heated pool which was warm enough to go swimming in 2 out of our 4 days ( the other 2 days were windy and cooler so getting out of the pool would have been too cold for us).

The service here was just wonderful and I have to say some of the best I have seen. It goes beyond a smile and "how are you today". A housekeeper showed me a quicker way to get from my room to the lobby. One gentleman had problems with directions and i saw a staff person walk him to the corner so he was going the right way. We had an early flight home and needed a cab at 4:30am. When we asked if this would be a problem not only were we assured it would be fine, later in the day we were introduced to the person who would be picking us up.

All in all it was a great stay and we can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: If you want quiet ask for courtyard rooms

Great location!! Room was comfortable and had a great shower. We stayed for three nights and ha a great time. Kaleb was extra helpful with all of our needs. The one thing I will say is that outside noise is expected, however the hallway noise was quite loud. We were woken up on several occasions due to drunk people coming home from a night on Bourbon Street. This was fine however we had wished the doors were a little more sound proof. Overall great time and good staff!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was a short walk to all the sites of the French Quarter yet the room was very quiet. We had an interior room on the 2nd floor which looked out on the pool/courtyard. The workout room was also right at the end of the hall. Work out room was good except for one complaint, there were no wipes to clean the equipment with after using.
The room size seemed very ample and clean, bed very comfortable, loved the bathroom!
Beautiful lobby, attentive and friendly staff. Ambiance upscale yet comfortable.
Only small suggestions: antiseptic wipes in work out room, bottles of hand/body lotion in the rooms and a small mini-fridge.
Can't say enough about the great location! On Orleans just a block off Bourbon. There is a wonderful restaurant right across the street, the Orleans Grapevine Wine Bar and Bistro. Superb!
I highly recommend this hotel in the Big Easy.

Room Tip: Interior room quiet, overlooked pretty courtyard.

What a great experience! Wonderful ambience, excellent staff (with a shout out to Ron for his restaurant suggestions!) and one of the most comfortable beds I've experienced in a hotel, all within a short walking distance of the highlights of the French Quarter. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone & would love to stay here again.

We had a Blast! Although when we arrived at 2:45pm and Check in was at 3pm we were told that they were cleaning our room and it would only be a moment and they would call us when our room was ready... at 3:40 my husband was not happy that we paid $600 for a suite and we were left waiting almost an Hour to get checked in to get our room.. I went back to the desk to find out if it was clean yet and the girl at the desk had no idea what I was talking about or that anyone was waiting on a room?? she was not the person helping us but was in the middle of our conversation about it when the lady told us to wait??? She called house keeping 3 more times and housekeep was RUDE over the radio and said it was ready now... so it was not good at 1st but it did get better! The bell hop was awesome I think his name was Derrick??! he was very friendly and helpful. We will be back but they really need to work on communication when it comes to their guest waiting to get to their room....

Room Tip: DO NOT bbok a Burbon Balcony with children with you!!! Not a good idea at all!!!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Our five night stay was perfect. From the moment we entered the staff was most friendly and helpful. The lobby was neat and clean with cold fruited water or ice tea available to welcome you. check in was a breeze and our room was most comfortable. The location is perfect, only one block from Jackson Square and one block from Bourbon St.. Breakfast was the best we found in the French Quarter and service was very good also. We have been to New Orleans many times and this was our first stay here. I can assure you our stay in New Orleans will be at the Bourbon Orleans. Great value, location, service and accommodations.

Staff was fantastic, always ready and willing to do anything for us. We had a comfortable bed, and it was quiet, even though the hotel is in the heart of noisy Bourbon Street activity. Would stay here again without a doubt. Only negative is the size of the room is a little on the small size.

Room Tip: Perfect location - walking distance to everything in the French Quarter.
