The staff is friendly and wonderful, they pay attention to all details. I have stayed at this hotel a few weeks each year for years. It is in the heart of the quarter, mix of everything but a Southern hospitality and welcome unmatched. One of the best hotel experiences in all of New Orleans.

Room Tip: If you want noise and excitement, get a balcony on Bourbon, but I prefer a balcony on St. Anne or Or...

Dear Mark S,

Thank you for staying with us over the years. We appreciate your loyalty to our property. We certainly work hard to “deliver the details” as this is one of the key elements of the hotel business. See you again soon!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Bourbon Orleans for 5 nights. It was approximately a 30 minute drive from the airport (fixed fee of $33) on a Saturday afternoon. We were able to check in right away and were placed on the 6th floor facing the corner of Orleans and Bourbon. I should also mention that we purchased our room on Priceline for a pretty good rate and everything went smoothly. Our room was a good size with a nice clean bathroom. We had one of the rooms with a window at floor height and it provided a very nice perch for me to sit on and watch all the action from our room.
Special mention to the extremely comfortable king size bed!
We ordered room service our first night. We ordered a flatbread pizza and that was only $14 (plus service fees and tips, etc) and from what I remember, it was really good.
Despite being on the corner of Bourbon, we didn't hear much street noise. We heard more noise in the hallway from folks coming in really late at night and slamming their doors. It woke me a few times but nothing that kept me up all night.
We were able to get wireless in our room at all times. It was slow a few times but overall it was excellent.
We had trouble with the elevator once or twice. You are supposed to use your room key to operate the elevator but sometimes you didn't need to and sometimes you did. If you tried your card but it didn't work it would take you to the second floor and the elevator would stop.
We were only able to use the pool once during our stay because of afternoon thunderstorms but it was a very nice set-up. It was quiet when we were there so there were plenty of loungers and towels to use. A waitress came out with a poolside drink menu but unfortunately the prices of drinks were super high so we didn't indulge (some of the cocktails were $16). We knew we could get a 3 for 1 just down the street if we wanted for pretty cheap or a hurricane for $8 down the street at Pat O'Brien's. We did use the complimentary drink vouchers for the Bourbon O bar attached to the hotel. There is a special menu for the vouchers or they can be used for $7 off a regular drink. The staff were friendly but again, the regular drink prices were pretty high. I understand that they use local ingredients which is great, but it does tend to increase prices.
We needed a cab for 4:00 am the day we were leaving. We asked the doorman if he could arrange this for us and he did.
We did not experience any ghosts although we met someone in the elevator who seemed to believe that weird things were happening in her room.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but it wasn't anything special for what we paid. We did enjoy the free water and tea in the lobby, and the free coffee in the mornings. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Room service was way too slow and we ended up canceling our order more than an hour after we ordered it. They had a Sunday brunch buffet and Bloody Mary bar that we wanted to try.

My boyfriend and I came for a long weekend and had an incredible time! The hotel staff was so friendly, the room was perfect and the food/breakfast was delicious!

This hotel is directly behind Jackson Square and the location is perfect if you're looking for a nice hotel in the heart of the New Orleans sights. There is plenty to do in the French Quarter and it's so easy to get other places with the transportation nearby.

The hotel room was perfect and I have only nice things to say about the staff, beautiful pool and amenities.

The breakfast was delicious and the buffet has every southern treat you can imagine but I have to say it's a little pricey for breakfast. The buffet is either $14.99 on weekdays or $21.99 on the weekends which seemed a little pricey even for us New Yorkers.

We'd certainly recommend staying here for anyone that is looking for a nice hotel in the heart of Nola. The hotel also has a historic- feel which only added to the great experience!

If you stay here be sure to go around the corner to Pat O's and go into the piano bar. It gets crowded but it's worth every minute.

Thank you for staying with us at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. We appreciate your nice comments about our staff and food and beverage services. The Bourbon Orleans is a very historic hotel and our Ballroom dates back to 1817 and history has it that Andrew Jackson announced his candidacy for President in our ballroom!

I had no issues short of one hiccup on the check-in for something I ordered for the room. The hotel staff took care of that in a heartbeat and we were satisfied with the substitution for the original order. Other than that the location is fantistic

Room Tip: Get the balcony well worth it.

Perfect location; professional all round. Old building refurbished beautifully. Staff welcoming, lobby gorgeous, fresh bouquets of flowers. Felt welcome from the time we pulled up and Louis charmed us with our first taste of Southern hospitality. And the other staff carried on with the precident he set.

I stayed here with two 13 year old girls and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The kids loved it. The staff is thoughtful and courteous. For adults- the location is close to all of the action but the property also provides a perfect getaway from the action on Bourbon St. Can't wait to go back!!
