Our three day, two nite stay at the bourbon Orleans was exceptional. It is one of the most pleasant , relaxing spaces in New Orleans. Every staff member that we encountered was very accommodating, friendly, and eager to help in any way possible. Often during the day, we returned to cool off and sample the cool refreshing iced tea or cold water always available, complimentary, to all guests. The comfortable decor was so inviting, we lingered and relaxed while many others enjoyed the salt water pool and comfortable chaises.
Everything about our king sized room was lovely. The attentative staff made certain that we lacked nothing for our comfort. This hotel will always be our favorite now in New Orleans

Room Tip: We asked to be away from the street side. Our room overlooked the pool/courtyard.

Brought my wife down from NY for surprise 50th birthday. The staff was fantastic from the moment we walked in. We had a loft suite (no balcony) which was spacious, comfortable and perfect for "chilling out" between walks around the city. Lobby was classy and felt great to come into out of the heat. Lemon water, iced tea, and Bloody Mary's were a great touch. Location on corner of busy Bourbon St. but entrance down Orleans, a much more quiet side street. Will definitely return and will recommend to friends!

Beautiful lobby area and the customer service was great. We got there early and they didn’t take long to get a room ready. They are usually always full so that is not an easy trick. One day I needed dry cleaning and the guy had already left; they called him and he came back to get my clothes and they were still cleaned and returned in two hours. (Most hotels cost about $25.00 for the amount of clothes we had. They charged $60.00) the prices of this hotel are very high so you shouldn’t expect anything less. (You get what you pay for.)

We had a balcony on Bourbon Street. “THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT”—the rooms are really really loud from the noise outside. I mean really loud. It did not bother us because we are from the city and used to loud noises. If you are from a place that is quiet at night or like it to be quiet to sleep, be warned. We had no problem sleeping but I still got up about every hour and a half and went to the balcony to see what was going on. I didn’t want to miss anything. Don’t get a balcony and then whine to the front desk about it being loud or they will just look at you like DUHHHHHHHH. . I think if you get a balcony it is well worth it.

The bar is really nice and if you go, ask for one of their specials. You won’t be disappointed.

If you have never been to New Orleans and/or on Bourbon street also be warned that the old beer/trash/vomit smell is always there and to expect it. They do come by every morning and power wash the streets but the smell never leaves.

They have drinks in the lobby all day so you won’t go thirsty, but be careful because one morning I got a Bloody Mary and the guy says “That will be $7.00.” I assumed that since other drinks were all free in the lobby that these would be as well.

The week we stayed there it was very hot so the Bike Taxis really came in handy. All our drivers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the city.

Pros – Beautiful, clean, front desk and maids were perfect. Great Location, great valet staff that unload luggage, park your car, etc.

Cons – Loud, smells from outside, expensive, charging over $40.00 a day for parking “Really?” That puts the room over $400.00 a night even with an AAA/AARP discount.

Dear Mr. Houston 1,

Thank you from coming over from Houston for a visit. Certainly the FQ can be noisy but we have many tranquil rooms at the Bourbon Orleans. Thank you for your nice comments about our bar and hotel staff. Hope to serve you again soon.

Love this hotel! All the staff is more than accommodating and the hotel bar - Bar O is fantastic with their unique craft cocktails. Stephen is by far a treat to meet who is a bartender here and will entertain you and wow you with his drinks. The hotel is clean and walking distance to everything and even being so close to bourbon street is so quiet.

Room Tip: Request the rooms with a seating area, they are $20 more a night but the room is huge and views are...

The hotel is beautiful, but the hourly staff does not care about the quality of service provided or the promises they make to customers. Management does care and claims to have spoken to hourly staff but my room was only half cleaned even after mentioning the issues to the maid in person (housekeeping manager had to remove dirty dishes). I asked the doormen for a location to purchase lunch because I understood the restaurant is closed during lunch. Doormen directed me to the restaurant stating, "you can dine in our restaurant." He got a waiter to bring me a turkey melt, but then the waiter stated, "you can't eat this here. In the lobby, your room or at the pool BUT NOT IN THE RESTAURANT." Really??????

We stayed at the Bourbon for three nights early August. The accommodation was good, service exceptional and property well-located for the French Quarter and of course Bourbon Street! The advice and guidance provided by John (Concierge) made our stay a most memorable one and we made the best use of our time to see this great city. I would recommend John as a must for visitors (thank you John). In addition, we must mention Stephen (the Mixologist) who made our visit to the cocktail bar a most enjoyable experience. Overall, a first class establishment with great staff!

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is in the center of the French Quarter just a short walk from any of the many area attractions. The room and bathroom were quite spacious with very nice decor. The service from the staff was very good. The only problem we had was that our reservation stated we were entitled to complimentary beverages at the bar upon our arrival, but when we went to the front desk to get our complimentary beverage coupons, we were told they had "run out" of the coupons and were no longer offering them. The email we were sent two days prior confirming our reservation which stated what our stay offered did not say, "offer good until we run out of coupons." We felt the response from the front desk to be unacceptable. This was really our only complaint about the hotel; however, because of the lackadaisical attitude the front desk clerk had regarding our request and his "sorry" reply when we complained, it is enough to make us consider other hotels in the Quarter for our next visit.
