“Nice location/Needed sheets”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

We stayed here for 6 nights over jazz fest which is extremely busy so we realize some things might not be up to their usual standards. However six nights without changing the sheets is a little extreme. The house keeping was not all it could have been; one night we called for hand towels and a bath mat and received three bath towels and four wash clothes, the mirrors weren't done either even when we left sticky notes on them. The hotel location was perfect. We requested a room over the courtyard which we had and it was very quite, we never heard any noise at all. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Over all our stay was nice. The hotel was renovated in the past year or so and while the design was eye catching it was not very functional. Only two drawers, one hook in the bath room, no where to even hang a wash cloth, and very expensive water. We would definitely stay here again in spite of everything, it was good.

Room Tip: If you want quite request a room over the courtyard, a little smaller then the others.

This is one of the best hotel I stayed in the French Quarter. If you are lucky enough to visit New Orleans, like to stay close to the "action", I highly recommend Hyatt French Quarter.

It is classic, upscale, service is impeccable. Room is nice and clean, with high end amenity.
Yes, it comes at a price, but that is worth it.

fairly new hotel with a great location in the French Quarter of New Orleans close to Bourbon and Canal street
the hotel is large and so are the rooms witch make them very comfy , very stylishly done with everything you need in it
we had a SHARED balcony room witch is great for the smokers just to bad there is no cleaning done on the balcony nor on the windows of the room ,the rest of the hotel is non smoking so get a room with balcony if this is a problem , very comfy and large beds , sleeps perfect and the bathroom was complete but once again the fixed shower head was to low for me ............
breakfast in the powdered sugar cafe was pretty good and not expensive
the hotel doesn,t have it,s own parking lot so be prepared to pay for this
but valet service is offered and they are fast ,if you are planning on staying in the French Quarter during your stay you don,t really need a car as you can walk it all , but there all so is a taxi stop in front of the hotel 24/7 should you not want to walk
the pool area is a little small to my opinion but it does have a full service bar and once again smoking is aloud there
i would certainly stay here again

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view or with balcony , shared or private it does cost extra !!!!

These guys will soak you for the bottled water! When we checked in we found 2 bottles of basic bottled water in the room with tags that said something like "refresh." There was no indication that they carried a charge! We put them in the fridge and took them with us 3 days later. There was no charge for them on our when we checked out, but a couple of days later two charges of $4.00 showed up on my credit card. When I called the hotel to inquire, the accounting dept. said that there was a charge and she would relay my displeasure to the front desk. No refund; no apology. I won't be back.

Located a block from Bourbon St, it is conveniently located to check out the various sites: St. Louis Cemetery, Canal Street, Bourbon Street, Royal Street. We went a couple of weeks after Mardi Gras so it wasn't too noisy.

The Red Fish Grill and Hard Rock are accessible from the hotel....highly recommend the Red Fish Grill for dinner. We tried Powder Sugar for a quick lunch on our last day before leaving for the airport, but the service was slow so we asked for refund and went to the Hard Rock...typical "bar" food but great service. Also if you want your morning coffee just head out the back of the hotel to Canal Street and goto the Starbucks on the other side (better coffee and price).

The hotel itself was nice and clean, with friendly front staff and cleaning ladies.

This is a really nice hotel. We were really impressed with our room -- it was huge, with 20-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. It had a seating area and even a small vanity outside the bathroom (great for couples or people traveling together as two can get ready at the same time).

The bathroom was so-so. It looked like Hyatt put some work into remodeling the rooms (new carpet, etc) but the bathroom appeared pretty dated. But still not bad by any means.

The only downsides: $10 a day internet (seriously, just have it come with the room!) and the NOISE. It's located next to the Hard Rock Cafe. On Friday and Saturday nights the noise level was very high. Our room faced Iberville. Despite ear plugs, a noise machine AND a generous amount of rum, my husband and I still woke up numerous times due to honking cars and the bass from next door.

Room Tip: If you want quiet ask for an inside room.

We stayed in the Hyatt for one week in April, The hotel is located 2 minutes from Bourbon Street, but the hotel was very quiet. We were in room 412, and although we did not have a view at all
(we only had a view of room 411 across the landing) We found the room to very spacious and clean. The breakfast was $12 and you had plenty of choice, but because I am Vegetarian I found it had a limited choice, but you still had to pay the same amount! Overall i would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 412 and the room was lovely but the only view we had was of room 411 accross the l...
