My husband & I stayed at the Hyatt French Quarter in early November 2013 for a wedding. The hotel was nice.
1. Check in process – Check in process was a breeze.

2. Room: Room was big & really deep. Nice sitting area, comfy bed, decent lighting. Our room faced the pool area, but we never had an issue with noise. It was quiet. Bathroom was nice & the shower had good water pressure with plenty of hot water.

3. Service – The front desk was always very helpful. They gave us a map of the area, directions, recommended food spots, etc.

4. Hotel food: Did try some beignets from the café in the hotel – they were yummy. Also had a burger in the bar – I was starving & it tasted great. The drinks were good too.

5. WiFi: We did have an issue with a weak signal, but I believe they fixed it & then removed the charge from our bill.

6. Location: The hotel was in a great location for the French Quarter. Plenty to see & do within a few steps of the doors. They had cabs right out front if you needed one.

I would stay here again if we head back to New Orleans. My parents may even give it try too.

We took our 17 month old with us to New Orleans. It was my husband's first NOLA trip, so we wanted to be in the Quarter at an affordable price, however, it was important that it be a clean, child-friendly environment. Hyatt French Quarter exceeded our expectations on all levels. Upon entering the lobby, we were surprised at how modern and clean the hotel was. Right inside the lobby were a cafe called Powdered Sugar and a bar called Batch. Both very hip little spots. We had a King courtyard room. It was spacious, modern and clean. The room had a mini refrigerator which was very helpful with a child in the room. We were able to keep milk, juice, etc on hand. Our room had tall ceilings and huge french doors that exited right into the pool courtyard which was very calm and inviting. The pool deck had several lounge chairs around the pool as well as some patio dining areas and a bar that was open on Saturday and Sunday - serving food on Saturday. The noise was minimal - even late at night with Bourbon Street right outside. We ordered room service each morning for breakfast and were very pleased with that, as well. My kiddo would highly recommend the "pan cake". Delicious! The staff delivered a crib - free of charge - to the room for us which was really nice and allowed us all to sleep more soundly. All in all - it was a wonderful hotel experience and we would without a doubt stay here again!

I was searching for a good deal and a good location. The Hyatt French Quarter is exactly that.
This hotel is right off Canal and steps away from Bourbon street. From the minute we arrived at hotel we were greeted and treated very nicely. Check in was quick and easy. The rooms are spacious and modern. The bathroom was clean modern and a good size. In our rush to get to New Orleans, I had forgotten some items and was surprised to see that the hotel had a nice long list of items you could call and they would bring to you free of charge. Nice perk. The hotel is located next to the Hardrock Cafe which was nice. Even though you are right in the middle of the French Quarter, the hotel was quiet. If you wanted the loudness and craziness of Bourbon Street all you had to do was take a few steps out and you were right there. The location could not be better. We walked from the hotel to Harrah's Casino it was about a 15 minute walk. Also we walked from hotel to the French Market and Cafe Du monde which was about a 15 minute walk. Parking is steep, at 42.00 a day for valet. There is a nice cafe in the Lobby with drinks, snacks and food, also a nice bar. I will for sure stay at this hotel for my next New Orleans visit!

In spite of some neg. reviews we read, we found this hotel to be excellent!
+ on edge of French Quarter (you get peace and quiet when you want it)
+ clean, spacious, well appointed, air conditioned. We never had issues with the air, by the way!! Tip: ask for courtyard side toon
+ friendly staff
+ on site coffee shop for a reasonably priced latte

I found Bourbon street to be stinky, but loved Frenchman street for the food and music. Offer a bike cab $30 to get you to Frenchman street if you want the true flavor of NOLA!

Stayed here from June 12th to June 15th. This Hyatt is very clean. The rooms are very clean and really large. Check in was smooth and took maybe 5 min or less. Had 2 king beds reserved and they were able to give me 2 double beds which was what we needed we had a party of 4. We wanted by the courtyard but could not get it, but hey we did not complain since we were booked for king beds. Our room(s) overlooked Iberville street which is one block from bourbon street. Yes there was noise, lot's of it. But you are in the French Quarter so noise should be expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet parking was $42.00 per night. Parking garages all around but they didn't look too safe so pay the extra for the valet service. The beds were nice and comfortable, bathroom was nice with shower separate vanity outside the bathroom. A/C was excellent it really kept us cool while it was humid outside. Overall a very nice place to stay and we will stay here again when in new Orleans and want the French quarter/bourbon street experience.

Room Tip: Get a room near the courtyard to avoid the noise from bourbon street

4 couples headed South at a vacation getaway in New Orleans. Great location just steps away from the action at Bourbon Street. We had a wonderful time where we tasted and listened to what makes New Orleans unique and would definitely return at the Hyatt to continue our adventures in New Orleans.

Room Tip: If you want QUIET - Ask for an internal room near the CANAL RD side and interior courtyards
