This hotels lobby is deceiving....when you enter the rooms they are sparse with terrible lighting, scratchy sheets, and few amenities. Took 40 minutes to get car from valet and missed our dinner reservations. Apathetic staff and noisy housekeeping. As a budget hotel, sure, but definitely not worth the amount they charge.

My husband and I stayed this at this hotel for the first time because of the great deal. When we checked in we decided for an upgrade in rooms to the panoramic room, well worth it!! It was wonderful. Defiinitely will stay there again.
Hotel was very chic and upbeat.

Room Tip: The Panoramic Room was beautiful! Full of sunlight!

Stayed for three days based on the excellent reviews, location, and a good off-season rate. Outstanding feature was the beautiful lobby and bar. Room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. King bed was a trifle big for the bedroom, bathroom was spacious. Free wi-fi worked well. Staff was very friendly and helpful (as is typical of New Orleans). Car valet service was good, even at 5am, though a bit expensive. Will definitely consider International House for future visits.

It's nice clean hotel with polite staff! Enjoyed the room and Aveda products... Rooms smelled good. Like the bar and entrance and front desk. Very quick with bringing car around. Complementary coffee at lobby was nice too. Great location. Very close to everything in French quarter.

I'm a design guy and appreciate a classy, thoughtful hotel interior. I find that many hotels in new orleans are cheesy and kitschy. International House is sophisticated but still invokes the spirit and culture of new orleans. it's stylish and comfortable. Aside from that, the service is perfect. friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They truly understand the importance of customer service. and did i mention it's affordable? the location is also great. steps from the french quarter but on a quiet street. in a city full of average hotels, this one really stands out.
