We loved our stay at the Pavillion. This hotel has some very charming with historic feature that immediately put us in a Nola mood and way of life. We arrived at the hotel around 10 pm and were greeted very pleasantly by the doorman and were offered their customary night pb&j sandwiches. The room size was comparable to a NYC or European hotel room but more importantly our room and especially bathroom were kept very clean all throughout our stay of 4 days. The hotel is conveniently located only a few blocks away from the French quarter, but we actually liked being outside of the "action" because we were there during wrestlemania weekend and bourbon street was getting a little overwhelming even for us, a young couple that likes to have fun. Definitely check out the rooftop at the hotel - it gives nice views of the city and a chance to charge your batteries before your night out.

I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

All the staff members were extremely helpful and accommodating, especially the gentleman concierge who worked during the day. I have stayed in many hotels, and by far the Le Pavillon staff are setting the standard in service and friendliness. Other hotel chains should visit this location to gain a perspective on the true meaning of service and making a guest feel welcome.

We have stayed at almost all the usual landmark hotels in New Orleans like the Roosevelt, The W, Windsor Court, the Ritz Carlton. This was our first time staying at Le Pavilion. We were completely impressed and will add this hotel to the list of previously mentioned hotels. Sure the elevators are a bit slow, but then we were on laid back vacation in the big easy. We were there to take it easy. And the hotel shows a few signs of age, but then New Orleans is as old as America. Definitely will be back to stay here.

Room Tip: The elevators are slow, so if that is an issue, pick a lower floor.

One of the very best hotels I have stayed at while in NOLA! I have stayed here several times and WILL BE BACK!

The Rooms (especially the beds - I am 6'5"), The Staff (ALL of them from the Bellmen to Front Desk, to Restaurant & Bar, Room Service, Housekeeping) are awesome. This hotel is in the middle of everything and anything you could want in NOLA! I especially Loved the Pool Area and the View of the City from atop of the Hotel! Oh and let's not forget the PB&J Bar at Midnight!!!!

Room Tip: One of the few hotels that have 2 Queen Beds in dual occupancy Rooms! Most have only double beds. The best rest on a bad outside of my own in a long time!

The hotel lobby and dining room is gorgeous. Just what I would expect in a grand old hotel. The décor even extends to the heavy drapes surrounding the elevator doors on each floor. There are a lot of painted murals and embellishments which add to the charm. I was also impressed with the staff. Everyone was pleasant, and very helpful. I was disappointed in the room however. We had a two queen room which was fairly large for an old New Orleans hotel but it was showing some wear and tear. There were six light bulbs in the room but only three worked. The interior fabric on the desk lamp shade was torn. The caulking around the sink was mildewed along the back and it appeared that they had made repairs to the grout in the shower but had not gotten rid of the mildew first so it was coming through again. We had issues with the AC as well. The thermostat is not marked with numbers and the fan control only controls the speed so getting the room comfortable was difficult. The room was cool but there had been a tremendous amount of rain so there was some humidity in the air, and the room felt damp all the time. The bath amenities and towels were very nice which was important to my wife. I did think that the electronically monitored mini-bars had gone away a long time ago though. The valet parking was higher than I was used to but they were very prompt. The hotel is also a little further from the French Quarter than we like but it is also further from the craziness which has advantages.
