“Old hotel but worth the money”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

This was my second trip to Nola, but first time coming down during Mardi Gras. A couple of friends and I booked this hotel months in advance since everything books up fast before Mardi Gras. We picked this hotel due to the rave reviews, price, and close proximity to Bourbon Street. The hotel decor is very old fashioned, but it's a nice touch. The hotel runs smooth and is very clean. The staff are very friendly and the night time PB&J's make you feel very welcomed. This hotel was perfect for what we needed it to be and I would recommend others to stay here as well.

This place is very grand. The rooms are tired though. The most wonderful thing is seeing everyone in their pjs at 10 pm having cocoa and pb and j with cookies all served in the most beautiful giant silverware. We made great friends each evening, shared our day, caught up with what was going on locally, all in pyjamas! Great grand restaurant, very reasonably priced, massive portions, excellent quality. It's just the rooms looking out of date. They smell a little old and musty, the bathrooms are old but clean. I would stay again, the concierge was very helpful and booked day trips to local plantation houses for us. I love this place but wish they would upgrade their rooms....and bathrooms. Kids loved rooftop pool, that is cool....very unusual to have a Grecian pool in the sky!

Room Tip: Ask for any recently refurbished rooms.

My cousin and I (both ladies over 40) loved this hotel. We stayed for 8 days and wouldn't change a thing. A very lovely and comfortable old world style permeated the common areas and the rooms.
The artwork in the hallways was great. Loved the rooftop pool. Great for viewing sunsets.
Walk to a fabulous world-class super market, lots of bars and restaurants, the French Quarter, the warehouse district, Jazz in the park, etc.....We had a blast in NOLA and we loved the hotel.

Room Tip: we had a large room facing Baronne St.

This hotel is a gem. While it seems to stand alone on Poydras Street this hotel is so close to everything. We walked to the Warehouse District and the French Quarter and all the surrounding attractions. The nightly PB&J buffet was an added perk. The staff here are extremely helpful. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the picture but the entire rooftop pool area makes up for it.

Le Pavillon is a beautiful hotel, the lobby over the top and so is the service. We were personally tended to upon our arrival, anytime we departed for a night on the town and we always leaving feeling pampered. We love the quaint late night snack, once meant to greet late and weary travelers. I would recommend this fine hotel to anyone appreciative of great service and a great get away.

My family and I had 2 days trip to New Orleans, we stayed at Le Pavillon Hotel and really enjoyed it. hotel is full of history and great decoration. Very nice staff and clean, seems like old but very modern upgraded. We had a room with two beds and inside is pretty nice and big. We did use the spa and pool on the last floor, on the top and has a very nice view. Hotel restaurant was a great experience and delicious food. The only issue we had was a parking and I thing the hotel should have their own valet and free of the charge, however it was convenient. We highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in new Orleans, very easy access to French quarter and you can walk there. We will go back again to this hotel.

Room Tip: does not matter what room, they are all nice

I am so glad we stayed at Le Pavillon during our time in New Orleans. The hotel is unique and beautiful. Our room was pristine and lovely.

All of the staff were great, from the doorman, to reception and housekeeping. In fact, our housekeeper even cleaned the souvenir wine glasses that we received from an event we attended.

On our first night, the water was turned off for road works, but the staff ensured that everyone had bottled water and knew well in advance when this would happen. I dont think they could have done any more to make sure everyone was looked after.

The location is an easy walk from the French quarter, but still far enough away to miss out on the noise and 'messiness.'

I would definitely try to stay here agin if we return to New Orleans. Great hotel.
